FIRST CLASS BUS Bangkok to Chiang Mai OVERNIGHT BUS - Sombat Tours, Chiang Mai to Pai, VIP Bus

Book the same bus here: nataliespassport.12go.com/?z=... then search for Bangkok to Chiang Mai and look for the Sombat Tours bus with pictures of these big seats.
Overnight buses are not new to us (we've been taking two every weekend so we can travel outside of Bangkok and still make it back to work), however this was our first time on this type of VIP first class bus!
We booked this bus from Bangkok to Chiang Mai using 12go.asia as, after months of traveling Thailand, we found that's the easiest website to use! The bus was with Sombat Tours (it actually left the Sombat tours station, not MoChit Bus terminal). But what's funny is we couldn't see this bus listed on the Sombat Tours website...only on 12go.asia!
Our goal was to get to Pai, Thailand by taking this fancy VIP bus from Bangkok to Chiang Mai, then changing to a van to get to Pai. Luckily our bus arrived in Chiang Mai a little early. We had to run across the street from the Chiang Mai Bus Terminal 2 to Chiang Mai Bus Terminal 2. Where a van was about to leave for Pai in 5 minutes! We bought the van tickets for 150 baht each and headed to Pai!

We’ve taken a lot of night buses, but never this one! It looked amazing 😍 lol. We were so surprised it was raining!! But I guess it’s good it rained because it made the air better than it would have been! Pai was definitely unlike anywhere else we’ve been in Thailand!! Lol. It was a lot of fun though! It was the first time we tried it and it was so nice! 😍 we actually find the overnight buses give us more time to travel because when we would finish work in Bangkok on Friday we could jump on an overnight bus, arrive in our destination early, and explore right away! Even though a plane is faster, flights would be more expensive and there might not be as many options Friday nights. Hopefully we'll have the Pai video up soon! ❤️

As I know, Sombat Tours VIP bus has another eating room for VIP only. It is buffet which serve you many of better foods. You can eat as much as you can. This room is for normal standard bus.

Glad the entertainment selection on the monitor, the phone charge outlets, & reading light in this VIP bus we’re working. ( I like how the attendant wears a special uniform.) btw-If you can book your domestic flight ticket 2-3 weeks before it’s usually 300-400 baht more than you bus ticket only.

Thank you for your trip to Chaingmai. Facilities of V.I.P bus in Thailand is good except feet space between seat is uncomfortable for Carles but seems that both of you enjoyed with this trip. lol !
