Hello Karolina, as a crafty who has been to several markets, I loved to see your video! All of your ideas were so nice and we share some common crafts. If I can give you a tip, about the small notebooks (the one that you showed that was boy's theme with videogams, sports, etc), for me it's always successful when I fill it up with just standard white paper as a notebook, but the ones I had similar to yours, people don't tend to buy it as they don't find it that useful. I hope this helps, thank you for yor videos and amazing ideas

For a smaller craft fair, that was great. You will always have things that do not sale. One year I sold out of hot cocoa packets and this year I sold only 4. Post it note holders usually sale well. Suggestion for the mini note card sets, add in some basic sentiments like: hello, thinking of you, thank you, etc. Cut the sentiments from complimentary single color cardstock with sticker backing. You can then add a simple topper to the packaging, but it also gives them an idea of the different uses and increase the price by $1. Oh and for the Mason jar toppers, I would have a few jars out with alternate uses for them. Like if you have Christmas patterns, show one with candy or all the dry ingredients for cookies (I would still put the jar lid on that one, but top it with the cover as decoration), you could also have one with cotton swabs or balls, etc. I have found cards to be very hit or miss, no matter what you have someone will be looking for something else, lol. I loved the notebooks, maybe add in some photos as an example and you could make some add-on packs to appeal to the junk journalers(themed stickers, paper clips, etc in a cellophane bag) and what does not sale can be put back in your stash. You made so many awesome items, I'm sure your next one will be even better! Oh, and add a sign about taking credit cards and print out your vemno QR code, it helps to give them a visual and then they do not have to ask. Congratulations again!

Hi Karolina , I live in Southern California and I went to a local fair it was held at a YMCA there were 70 vendor booths with a separate baking goods booth I ask how much was their rent booth and was told that a 100.00 dollars for the booth with a 15% cost on your sales 😮but I kid you not thousands of people came it open at 9am and close at 4 pm and for Saturday and Sunday I spent 100.00 in 2 hours 😮everything has to be homemade it is the biggest craft Christmas extravaganza going on 25 years and most of the vendors never bring back their stuff I’m thinking about it but that 15% of your earnings and 100.00 for your booth is a little steep I don’t know 🤷🏻‍♀️ congratulations on your sales

I have found not to put cards in baskets as people will rarely browse them. I lay them out and as they sell, add more. You may also have to look at prices. I sell the cocoa mugs, just less ornate. I promote them as co-worker, neighbor, teacher and table setting items and can add a gift card. I had a principal come buy 22 for her teachers and nearly sell out each year. I have a table at a well attended one at our local high school. Good luck!

Definitely advertise your mini cards as lunch box notes or love notes. It helps people to understand a use for them. With your mini note cards, I noticed you did not have on there what they were or how many were in the package, so that might help you the next time too. Also, I wanted to share a sweet idea from one of my scrappy friends. She recently sent me some happy mail and in the package she had taken a small envelope, left the flap open so she could stand my Christmas card up in it and in front of the card she put a packet of hot cocoa, a candy cane, and a little Christmas themed marshmallow candy (kind of like Peeps). I thought it was so sweet to receive that in the package too and it’s a different way to give a Christmas card too. I am also sitting here putting poinsettia flower embellishments together while I’m watching your video and I thought a lot of crafty people like to go to craft fairs to get ideas for things they might like to make. I used to go to them all the time and I’d buy stuff just to take it home and try to replicate it. So, I’m thinking why not sell little packs of handmade embellishments? I love to make embellishments for my crafty friends at Christmas to send with their Christmas cards, so they can use them on their projects. They always seem to go over very well. I love all the things you made for your crafty friends fair and I hope my ideas are helpful to you as well. I hope you have much better luck with the next craft fair! You’re off to a great start! I myself see often art where I dont want to make the work for it and buy it if the price is ok for me. Kalligraphie.... how many Christmas cards of very good paper have I thrown away because of mistakes. Hope your next fair runs better

some people still say pet, but many will also say fur child, fur baby, fur kids, and some will say fur grandbabies :) I definitely spent a couple of months preparing for the craft fair, but I do like to craft, and share what i'm making here on youtube and all together for me it was worth it and i'm looking forward to my next one this coming weekend!

Very nice set up. Question. How did your bowl covers sell? I thought of that before, and made myself some. I love mine.

Great synopsis. Your things were adorable, I am sure you will do so much better at a well attended craft fair. But you didn't do too too badly. It would stink if you didn't cover your booth fee and basic supplies such as baskets, so you did fine. And I love that you said that you had fun. You should always enjoy the experience.

I think the notebooks would sell better with much lighter coloured paper or even plain white paper. It would be hard to see anything written on those dark very patterned papers.

You forgot to calculate the cost of supplies to make the products. So your profit was not $307.
@KarolinasKrafts
@KarolinasKrafts 2 күн бұрын
yes I mentioned that's not exactly my profit because of supplies for the products but more of a total of how much I made at the fair. I changed it in the next inventory sheet to say $ made rather than profit

@KarolinasKrafts you have to be careful on what you say online about your earnings. IRS is watching and they don't tell you if you made a mistake, they will go after of what you call "profit" Just a friendly reminder.
