Best live Set I've seen, this was great fun to watch. Normally i get bored out of my mind watching people do live sets. I find that people end up doing less with more. And would probably do more just doing a DJ set. I would suggest that you keep building off this setup too, it makes allot of sense to me. Best of luck with your music brother

You really need to cable manage dude! This is cable spaghetti, with power cables touching audio cables. Also, I can highly recommend the behringer clones over the boutiques. Boutiques are digital and with tiny, cramped knobs. Plus, the behringer ones are cheaper.

Super inspiring! Especially the arpeggio switch on the Juno. I've been building a dawless/laptopless setup for this exact thing, but I wanted it to be all battery operated or bus powered, so I can run it off a power bank and rock a beach party. The only thing I'm missing is a battery operated dj box like the mixstream go pro. My set plans were all based in the clips in the MC707/mv-1.... But this video makes me think I could build the clips in real time instead of setting them all up in advance.

Is there anyway you could dynamically quantize without a computer? That would make it so much easier. I’d understand if it kinda defeats the human aspect though. I’d love to do more live stuff but I can’t afford to even start buying the gear. So it’s only programming in ableton for me… (for now)

Nah I’m just beat matching the cdj manually. Pain with the 900s cause they don’t sync to exact bpm. It’s in percentages.

This is awesome. I love your setup. I am thinking of getting apc 64. I got apc key 25 and traktor x1 mk3 and a&h px5 mixer so i am using ableton and traktor in link. I would love to add some small synths in future but got some questions. I will be happy if you can help me. Can you use your setup with a computer? I know apc64 has a standalone sequencer but i need ableton for a link with my traktor software so i can sync everything. Can you record your synths to clips?? I am new to dawless setups so i dont really know how to plug it and set-up. Sorry for my language, is not perfect i am from Poland. 😊

Not bad bro! you should (not) see my first tries.... One question... APC sends midi thru a cable and to other 4 synths.... what does it send? Midi data of notes recorded on APC or just a "play" signal and then a synth plays pre-recorded stuff? If it's the first.... then I have second question... is APC capable to have 4 midi parts (for drums\chords\lead) to be recorded on itself and play them simultaneously?

@@freamii4182 MIDI thru is passing on whatever MIDI signals you send into the MIDI in on the same device. So, if you send MIDI notes/data on channels 1 and 2 for example, and your first device is set to channel 1, you can connect the MIDI thru to MIDI in on your second device, and set it to channel 2. This is called daisy-chaining, and is not recommended for more than 2-3 devices in a chain, since it introduces delay between each device.
