Good stuff, Cooksey! I normally don't watch the amateur stuff, but I did hear of someone from Hawaii who made it to the ranch and I think he won his class. What you said about Mike Brown is why that guy has been one of my heroes since I was a kid. You're right -- all the vets should compete regardless! Keep the good stuff coming, Cooksey!

The fact that the veterans can and still want to race is amazing and they should be allowed to regardless. Once you realize life is fleeting, things you do for fun become much more important.

Vet classes are for amateurs. The pro’s had their career. If they want to race there are plenty of cash races. We had a cash race last week. Reed, Bowers and Piazza all showed up to get paid. They all got paid but a local kid won.

Personally i would like to see more former pros come back. Who wouldn't want to see guys like mcgrath, Carmichael, Pastrana and others along side brown and emig and make a big deal our of it and make it a 40+ legends class or something and have donations for a charity or lorettas taken during their races or online or something.

@@cbogolothere isn’t a 35+… If you’re a true vet amateur you have 30+ and have to wait all the way until 45+ for another sportsman class.

I think hate malfunctions should be unacceptable in my opinion, if anything they should drop down faster, people with faster reaction times than others should be rewarded for it but i also see it from your pov as well

First mobber. Dax in the 250 class he raced in got 6 or 7th but won the 450 he took 1st in the moto. 7:08 Beemer killed it. I am watching what i missed now. That track is tore up!! Man i seen some great battles. The girls rocked.C.Cockren tore it up today. Blow out Brown. Tiger is fast. The future is looking bright.

I understand to a point. But I also understand that we as competitors still have the drive to be just that. As a person who loves to race I have no problem with Mike or Jeff lining up with me. I know I can beat them but I am completely fine with it.

@@bobbyrodrigue1985 vets are for amateurs. Once you had your pro card, you’re no longer an amateur. That’s what cash races are for. We had one last week at our track. The local kid who won was banging bars with Reed for the win in the 2nd Moto (he lost that battle but he won the war). I looked around at everyone and said; “The last guy you want to bang bars with is a 200 pound Chad Reed.” He is probably more like 220 but I was giving him the benefit. Those guys raced like there was money on the line. Makes for good racing to watch.

100% agree with you about the ruts when I watch pro races there are three lines when I race the same track on amateur day there's 13 lines in the same corner..the top pros are all consistent with one another even though their speed is not equal🔥

I was happy to see some personality out of some of the riders like we dont see much anymore because they have them media trained. I was nice seeing dude say he was pissed and when dude dropped the f bomb. The pro's would do better if they let them be themselves like they were in the 90's when it was probably at its peak

Casey Cochran came through the pack from 42nd gate pick to win. Renner smoked the field of 45ers. So, Loretta’s stars will get the contracts but it’s just like college vs. pro QB’s. When does the Heisman winner ever take a team to a championship? Webb was always second fiddle to AC. Now look at them.

@@joeyparker5280 way less than you think and it’s been way longer than you thought it was. Heisman winners are almost always a bust. Historically speaking, it is about a 90% complete bust. Why? Because they’ve never faced diversity. They’ve never really lost. Many go from PeeWee to high school to college and may have a dozen losses under their belts. Imagine what it does to their psyche to come into the NFL, chosen by a team with the worst record (because that’s how the drafts work) and you only manage to win 3 or 4 games in your first season. Now, imagine as a racer who wins every race and every championship. They get to the pro’s and cannot win a single race. That’s why Webb is talking smack on the gate. He learned early on that if he’s going to win, it starts before the gate ever drops.

The kid has been quietly coming up through the ranks and winning. He has an awesome support network and it is everything Cooksey has been preaching about “doing it the right way” but then he does sleep on him. Yes, he won Futures because everyone else crashed out but you have to be in it to win it.
