I have a question, is the subjects or topics you study there are easy or difficult as compared to the topics you studied for entrence examination

Well, it depends on the subject and the professors, but from what I have observed, they go in-depth on each and every topic, focusing on the 'why.' For example, I studied Semiconductor Physics for GATE and thought I knew a lot, but I was wrong! To sum up, for competitive exams, you focus more on concepts and formulas to solve questions, but here, they delve much deeper into each topic, which is why it's a bit harder than your typical competitive exams."

When I was a kid I used to hang around in prof vasant natarajan s lab they were doing laser cooling made friends with some of the PhD students there this is almost 17 years ago also the math department once during open day I got a book on algebraic geometry and one of my best friends is doing his PhD on algebraic geometry oh yeah and prof aditya murthy of iisc he had brought a human brain 🧠 to planetarium this was many many years ago so many experiences I still stay close to iisc but have left science 😭you are very lucky bhai

IISc takes care of the students very well not only in terms of academics but in terms of food also. “Worse than jail ka khana” - this is never ever going to happen. People love mess’s food more than “Ghar ka khana”. All the best😇
