I love this! It is so helpful to know what to expect. It stinks that you had to come home for a little bit before continuing on your mission, but i believe these videos you are making and how much you share your love for the MTC are part of that reason for coming home. I need these videos, others need these videos and your testimony of how great the MTC is and the advice you have. You have eased some of my many nerve and i look forward to the rest of this series. Thank you so much for choosing to serve and thank you for sharing your experience. Love ya girlie!! Cant wait for the rest of your videos. :)

Thanks so much for this! It's been helpful to me, as a parent who just dropped off my son to know what he's doing! I know that even if he has the time to write me a note, he's not likely to be too descriptive of such things, so... great job! Also, congratulations on being called to THE BEST MISSION ON THE PLANET! :)

I’m so glad I found this. My son is leaving for his mission this summer and all I keep thinking about is, what will his first days and weeks away from home be like? I am going to share this series with him in the hopes that it will give him some insight as to what a to expect and it’s been so helpful to me. Thank you for doing this.

What a great, detailed explanation of the first day! Thank you for taking the time to share it! One question - since dinner is so early, is there a place to get snacks during the evening? Can you take food from the dining hall to your room for later?
@ryleebrooke68366 жыл бұрын
So you cant take food from the cafeteria, but they have vending machines in the residence hall! They will give you a card that has money on it that you can use in the vending machines. The MTC store also has snacks! :)

Great video!! this makes me so excited to go into the MTC in a couple of weeks :) when do we receive our scriptures, PMG and books in the MTC?
@ryleebrooke68366 жыл бұрын
Awe thank you!! If you are English speaking make sure you bring your own scriptures and books, except PMG. They will give you PMG, pamphlets and a few other books on the second day. If you are speaking another language then they will provide scriptures for you in that language and you will receive that the same time as you get your PMG and other material. :)

When you’re sleeping in the mtc rooms, does everybody usually set their own alarm clock or is it more like, everyone wakes up from one persons alarm clock?
@ryleebrooke68366 жыл бұрын
That's a good question. We all set our alarms, and it honestly got kind of annoying and we would never know who's alarm was going off. So I'd recommend have a designated person who sets the alarm and turns on the light. :)
@simplytiffany86956 жыл бұрын
Rylee Brooke thank you! That’s really helpful!! I’ll keep that in mind. Another question; do you really go to the temple every week to do a session? Somebody told me that you go every p day to do a session in the temple, is that true? I’ll be in the mtc for 6-7 weeks (through Christmas and New Years). I’m just curious :) thanks
@ryleebrooke68366 жыл бұрын
@@simplytiffany8695 You're so welcome! And yes, you get the opportunity to go with your district every pday. You dont have to, but you do have that option every week. I highly recommend it!! I only got to go once while I was there because it was closed for cleaning!
@simplytiffany86956 жыл бұрын
Rylee Brooke okay!! Thank you so much!! Also, one more thing haha sorry for all the questions. I leave in 9 days and I’m so nervous!! But, when you have your companion in the mtc, do you have to go everywhere with them? Is that correct?
