I've been enjoying your portugal tour - great videos! A few tips for your next trip: 1) you won't find a "black" neighbourhood in the centre of Lisbon, just areas where African migrants might hang out (as you saw) or others where black people chill like "Gare do Oriente". It's a mixed city, so it's mixed for the most part! Black majority neighbourhoods are in the suburbs like Damaia, Cacém and "Santo António dos Cavaleiros" (not so safe). 2) to rub shoulders with the black locals, go clubbing near where you were staying "Bairro Alto", or nightclubs like "Konvento" or across the river (far by transport) to "Ondeando"; 3) cod is one of the national dishes (try "bacalhau a Brás), but Portugal is split into regions, and each region has its own typical cuisine. In Lisbon it's all about Bitoque (steak, chips, rice, an egg and salad), Prego(thin marinated beef steak on a roll) or Bifana (same but pork), Grilled Sardines, Snails (yes, don't knock 'till you tried it), caldo verde (soup) and of course Grilled Chicken as well as many deserts like "baba de camelo", pastéis de belem or "pudim molotov". Czech that first girl you spoke to was a Brazilian who didn’t speak English. All young Portuguese people speak English because it’s a mandatory second language in schools. The Brazilian immigrants in Portugal (for the most part) don’t speak English however.

Bacalhau (cod fish) is Salted cod fish they do all kinds of dishes with it but they also good on meat like steaks and chicken and pork also, Portuguese people eat a lot of fish dishes

Great place St George's Castle on top of hill best city in Europe Lisboa then Barcelona & Amsterdam. Portuguese people are the nicest and most welcoming people ❤. Lived in Portugal for year and it is very hard to practice your portuguese when everyone switches to english when they see you struggle 🤣. On top of that European portuguese is way harder to understand than Brazilian portuguese.

What you are looking at (26th minute) there is the Tagus River that divides Lisbon in 2 (Bridge). The ocean is a littlle further down West. I made the same mistake when I was there last year. Also, you should tell your viewers that you started your video in the Old Lisbon! :) Excellent video!

If you wanna visit a black neighbour hood it's on the hill on the outskirts of Lisbon built by immigrants from Portugal former African colonies called Cova da Maya.

There are diverse neighbourhoods in Portugal and yes, Cova da Moura is one. You may end up somewhere else if you search for 'Cova da Maya' ou 'Maia'.

Never let the ATM machine do the conversion for you. When it asks do you accept the conversion say no. Your bank in the states will do the conversion for you. The dollar and euro are the same at the moment 1 dollar = 1 euro. The ATM basically charged you $30 for making a withdrawal.

For anyone wondering, the type of food the gambian guy was talking about is called "Bacalhau", which is the word for cod fish. The traditional dish that tourists should try is called "bacalhau-a-bras", which cod fish potatoes and eggs essentially.

Lisbon is beautiful the most underrated European city/ capital ..the Atlantic on the west side of the city I got me an apartment in the city and just walk for 8 hours a day and would do it north east south West old school style been there twice and would go there again I didn't feel there was any segregation in Lisbon was there and enjoyed it yeah fish is the thing in Portugal one reason why I love it it's my thing ....yo bro what you at the hills it's where it's at... yo in Europe you got to go to Holland and Belgium and la Swiss and from there France as you did the Latinic Europe

These videos show how the architecture is so similar to some places in America and Latin America because of the history of the colonizers European, Portuguese English and Spanish. There are places everywhere that they colonized that looks like the origins of those countries in which the colonizers came from. You can see it from New Orleans, Charleston SC, to California, Mexico, Panama, and down throughout Brazil. The past is the past and hopefully we are learning to love in spite of what happened but these places are gorgeous and the people are beautiful.

You won't find the biggest afro communities anywhere inside city centre. You have to get out Lisbon and go to the suburban areas like Amadora, Queluz, Agualva-Cacém, and in the other side of the 25th Apr gate in the south side you have many neighborhoods in Almada and Seixal, it's where the biggest afro communities live.

You were close to the river if you had followed the yellow bus (12:51minutes), you would have reached the river easy. You have to try (Bacalhau com Natas); it's a typical dish it's codfish with cream. If you want to go to bars near the sea you have to go to (Docas) there are many bars and clubs and the best time to go there is at night, around eleven midnight i recommend Hawaii bar/club. You can also visit Belém, it's more touristic, You have the hoods, but you need to know someone trustworthy to go there like everywhere; you know...Blessings Bro!!!

Czech You can also take to the boat (cancilhanos)right where you are, to the other side of the river and go to costa da caparica beach. On the other side, there’s is buses going straight to costa da caparica, is better beach than carcavelos beach
