Sweetie, let me tell you something--I'm a mom, my oldest is 22--I started watching your videos with my 17 year old and actually I'm watching them myself now (ok, that was a little embarrassing to admit lol but you've brought a whole new makeup world into our home with your drugstore videos), but the ONLY thing you need to worry about is your happiness, your life, your choices. People's comments that are anything but positive should tell you more about themselves than anything you're doing. Your husband and you appear to have an incredible relationship and I only pray that both of my daughters find a young man like you have found and that my son treats women the way Davis treats you. Be happy, enjoy every moment--because life is precious and it goes by so fast. One day you're a newly married woman and the next you're a 46 year old woman with 3 kids watching makeup videos (from a gorgeous young woman with a prince in her life) to finally figure out how to use all that sh*t (blush). You're so correct when you say that haters will hate--I don't know if it's so much as they are jealous, but some people are just very unhappy people and can't stand to see someone else bursting with joy. I'm a general manager for ulta and when her smash box collab was coming into my store I could not wait , kept talking about Casey and some of my employees were like who's Casey and their half my age . I posted a note for Casey also about my marriage while both my husband and I were in the Air Force during Viet Nam and this November we celebrate our 46th anniversary. I too watch Casey's vlogs and my girls have been married more than 10 years each, I am going to be 66 in June so don't be embarrassed about watching her. She's good at what she does. My husband and I got married after dating for 10 months. He was at Ft. Rucker in flight school and got orders for Hawaii. I was initially going to just move wherever with him off post as a girlfriend, but when we found out it was Hawaii we realized that would just be a HUGE hassle being unmarried. So, one random Wednesday afternoon I had off work and he got out of class early--we just went to the court house and got married. 7 years later, 5 duty stations, one deployment and ranger school--we're still together! So although it might seem unconventional to some, it's damn near mandatory in military life. SOO excited for you and Davis' new journey together. Congrats! Love y'all! ❤️

My sister did the same thing & had a ceremony a year later. My brother-in-law was leaving for his 2nd tour to Iraq & wanted her to be taken care of while he was away. The community was extremely helpful & loving. The big wedding was still just as exciting and once you are in the white dress it will feel like the first time. Thank you for sharing-even though you don't have to! Good luck on this journey. Getting married officially before the big day is such a normal military thing. My husband got orders to Japan, so we got married before he left because it made more sense. I feel like many people are uneducated about the military life, and honestly, just need something to talk about. You'll love military life, girl! Rachel DoubleU I absolutely agree with you and love Casey and support her with everything! but I think the reason people are "angry" or being so critical is because apparently she was married before she got engaged and posted a video all about her engagement story and failed to mention that she was already married. not because she decided to get married earlier than anticipated. But of course we're not entitled to know anything revolving her personal life and these people are absolutely crazy for even being affected by it.

Rachel DoubleU Yeah i think people think she lied about everything. When her and davis got the marriage license on the 20th but he still wanted to give her the proposal she deserved. He proposed the 24th or 25th i think and they got legally married a few days later that way housing would be easier. If it wasn't for the military they would be waiting until October and i think that's why she didn't tell people. October is the big celebration! I think people who are getting angry are way too invested in a negative way.

Our wedding was in October 2014 and while planning the wedding we went ahead and got married before the wedding in August 2013. My brother in law was a marine. Him and my sister got married and had a ceremony later on to make things easier for them, plus with deployments and everything else she wanted to be sure she could carry on his name if anything were to happen to him. I don't understand why other people had their panties in a twist about this whole situation. She got legally married before she announced her engagement, so what? In the video that she explains her engagement she says she's surprised and didn't know when Davis was going to propose because she probably didn't know. Getting legally married so it would easier to live on post is something completely separate from getting engaged and having a wedding, celebrating their relationship. Y'all need to relax and let her live her life how she wants to live it, be grateful that she's so willing to share information about her personal life.

Jennet MacArthur I feel like certain people are trolls and just in it for the hate but other's like me are seriously confused and a little hurt. I am so dedicated to Casey on KZbin & I feel like instead of saying she got engaged which means not legally married yet she should have been honest and said that she got legally married first but is having the wedding later and then explaining that going through the courts was private with just their families for obvious reasons. instead it makes us feel like she got married behind our backs and tricked us into thinking that the wedding day was the time she was going to get legally married. the way she got married is not wrong at all and makes total sense. It's the way she went about it to her viewers as to why people are so upset.

why does her decision to get married affect you in any way? she wasn't "going behind your back", you aren't part of her relationship with Davis. I can't speak for her because I'm obviously not her but if you felt like she needed to tell people then she would have, I'm assuming she wouldn't tell y'all something that would make y'all upset. Being engaged and getting married is an exciting time, so why don't you be happy for her instead!

Priscilla Nieto She didn't get married before the engagement. They decided it would be easier to be married when moving so they got the marriage license on the 20th i believe. Davis wanted to give her the proposal she deserved so he did on the 24th or 25th can't remember exactly. She was genuinely surprised. Then a few days later they got married by the court. But everything is continuing as normal with the wedding planning and getting married in October. I think she didn't tell people because 1. maybe she wanted to enjoy it privately for a bit, 2. they got married but the real celebration is in october, 3. couples who get married early like this, should still be allowed to have the proposal and wedding of their dreams.

Casey, you are my FAVORITE KZbinr. I don't know what it is, but I've always felt like when I watch you, I'm just sitting with an old friend. When you said you and Davis were legally married, it just made me SO HAPPY. Seriously, screw everyone and their negativity! I understand totally. I could not be more happy for you because my husband and I are doing the same thing! Military life is totally crazy and hectic but he makes it worth it and also like you said we wanted to be married anyways so it happened when it did and I don't regret it one bit
