*first day in service* Transdev THBC 1007 BV74NFC on the 1A to Knaresborough

Ey up everyone! And welcome to this video!
This video was a HIGHLY ANTICIPATED one. Heres a Harrogate eCitaro on its first day of service. This one being 1007 BV74NFC, there’s 20 of them on order for the Harrogate bus company with 11 entered service already!
The order Transdev placed for Harrogate was 20 of these eCitaros and 19 Enviro400EVs which will operate on the 36! Enviro400EVs now and 2201 - 2217 will be in the 36 livery and 2218 and 2219 will be in the Harrogate Bus Company livery. 2218 and 2219 will be used on 36 if needed and sometimes the peak time 1s. And maybe an odd few times on the 7. Back to the eCitaros now and all of these are in the Harrogate bus company livery with no buses having any route branding. This makes it easier to allocate buses if anything goes wrong and we don’t have enthusiasts raging that there’s a bus on a different to the one it’s branded for (Uhmm I know many of those).
On a serious note though these buses are absolutely amazing. The announcement screens aren’t the ones that will be used normally on the eCitaros. These are just on here temporarily until the new ones are put on all 20. Sadly this replaced my favourite bus so there’s a downside to this too. These buses will appear on locals on a Sunday (and If needed any other time), 1s, 7s, 24s and rarely allocated 21. A versa will run the 21 majority of the time or so HBC says.
One thing I also noticed is these buses seem quieter than the 21 and 24 reg demos we’ve previously had (been on both) and they’re a lot better comfort wise obviously. But these buses have very comfortable seating so will be nice on a long route like the 7. It’s great seeing these and I also look forward to seeing Keighleys too.
