The younger kids haven't seen their friends from school since last March, before the pandemic. This is Rylan's first year in high school in TX (she was in private school out of state last year), and Daxton's first year in Junior High. Paisley is still in elementary, and I have to say it was emotional for me to have them at school all day. I miss those family moments we've had over the past six months or so
Brooklyn bought out Bailey's half of their Jeep, when Bailey bought her car in July. Since then, she's been fixing a few things on it up to her liking. This week she put on new windshield wiper blades, and thinks she could save money next time by doing it on her own. Brooklyn, Bailey and their roomies finally go grocery shopping for the first time together to Trader Joes, and Brooklyn brings Finn home for a quick visit! It was so fun to see him after a month, he could hardly contain himself!

Brooklyn, you can literally get your windshield wipers at Walmart or any auto parts store. If you go to the big auto parts store they'll put them on for you for free. Those aren't repairs girl, it's normal car maintenance and you don't need to pay repair shops to do maintenance. That's probably why you couldn't find a repair shop that does just wipers lol. Save that cash!

Your Cabin Air Filter is also really cheap and easy to change! The auto shop will try to charge you over $50 for it sometimes and it’s literally like $15 on amazon and super easy to change. Look up where yours is on google or on KZbin!

I also giggled when she talked about the wiper replacements because I always just walk into a place like Advanced Auto and buy my wipers and a lot of the employees will slide them on for you if you ask.... because it takes them about 30 seconds tops. Shes adorable.

It’s super simple to replace windshield wipers, measure the size of you current wiper blades, I have a Jeep so Im pretty sure they are 18 inches, the brand of the new blades doesn’t matter all though some are more expensive than others, you can get them at almost any auto part store (I know for sure O’Reillys has them) there is a little button looking thing in the middle of the blade that detaches them and then you aline the new blades with the button in the same place the old ones were and slide the new ones in. If your having trouble figuring it out look up a video, the wiper blades are not specific to the car so you just have to look up how to detach and reattach wiper blades. Hope this was helpful😊

Hey brooklyn! Fellow adult woman just trying to make it ! Anywhere that sells windshield wipers has a big book. You look up your make and model and year and it'll tell you what size you need for your Left, Right (and rear if you have one). They are easy to install, you can consult youtube the first couple times but they are literally just a snap! Just make sure to take the plastic cover off them 😅 i drove myself to a shop cuz my new wipers weren't working and he immediately yanked the protective plastic off and I about died of embarrassment

Also, most fluids are easy to refill by yourself. Tires are tricky but Bailey can help you there ! I used to be intimidated to just fill them up but it really isn't hard once you allow yourself to practice. Some people do their own oil changes, i prefer to not 😅

I had to replace my wipers the other day. I didn't know anything either. You have have power of the universe in your hands. Search on KZbin how to do anything under the sun. You can learn to do anything.

Car tips, not related to wipers, but if in any event that you need some basic car maintenance tools, your car most likely already have them. I have a 2015 toyota camry, and the tools are hidden inside the trunk, I need to lift open the mat with the word "camry" on it, and flip open some switches, and the tools can be accessed, take the tools tray out, and there is a spare tire in there as well. Brooklyn has a Jeep, which are known to have the spare tire visible in the back, but try digging around the trunk, which might have hidden tools in there that might come in handy for her someday.

Brooklyn!! you can for sure do the windshield wipers yourself! everywhere sells them (walmart, target, autozone) find the ones for your make and model of a car, then just follow the directions and there you go! they're generally super simple and easy to replace.

There isn't a Trader Joe’s close to me. And also there are no Kroger's in Massachusetts. I just shop where ever and stick to just buying whole foods. You can buy whole foods anywhere. Rule of thumb for eating whole, stick to the premier of the store, and avoid the isles.

You can buy windshield wipers a lot of places, yourself, and put them on yourself, it’s literally so easy. Like even in Walmart in the auto part of the store they have books to look up what sizes you need for your car (Jeep). Or you can literally google your car and year and it will tell you the size, buy them, and most of them just kinda clip on, it’s super easy. I would say go ahead and pay for the slightly more expensive ones because they will do a better job keeping the windshield clear when it rains and they last longer. And for oil or like windshield wiper fluid or whatever it may be, just google or KZbin, or ask your dad and do it with him! They have everyyyytthing here on KZbin, changed a tire after I got a flat alllll by myself just by watching a KZbin video! You got this girl!! Only pay for someone else doing it when/if you don’t know what it is, for batteries and such, electrical issues, anything major. KZbin girl I’m tellin you, they have videos for everything!

I'm in Oregon and some places have gone in person but my kid is doing virtual learning. I'm perfectly okay with that since she attends from 8am_3pm just like regular school
