Exit TTDI MRT Station via Pintu B. Turn left and head north. The Ramadan Bazaar is 800 m away or about 11 minutes walk.
The holy month of Ramadan will see Muslims all over the world fasting and praying, before breaking their fast at sundown. It is a period of deep spiritual reflection and fasting that takes place every year.
Ramadan holds significant religious importance for Muslims. Throughout the month, Muslims fast from dawn to dusk, abstaining from food, beverages, smoking, and sexual activities.
It is widely regarded as the month of Ghufran, which translates to redemption in Arabic.
Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar. As the Islamic calendar is lunar, the month falls on different days of the Gregorian calendar.
The festival begins with the sighting of the crescent moon, which usually appears one night after a new moon.
The first day of the holy month of Ramadan 2024 fall on March 12 in Malaysia. It is expected to end on the evening of Tuesday, 10 April 2024.
Beyond its religious significance, Ramadan is also celebrated as a cultural festival. One of the most anticipated tradition during Ramadan is the vibrant Ramadan Bazaars that emerge in various cities, offering a delightful fusion of culture, cuisine, and camaraderie.
