it's about time I was thinking for a minute you didn't want to get your new discbine dirty. thanks for the video have a great evening
@tedkahler97387 жыл бұрын
I didnt want to get it dirty... IT needs a bath but doesn't look like rain for a while.... It is going to say dirty

Did you price the CIH at all to compare the difference in paint. They nice units and I would buy the steel rolls too.
@tedkahler97387 жыл бұрын
A bit keeper but trade in value is lower down the road... They also wouldn't alow me as much for my trade in on the old one i had. I just went to where i could get rid of my old one... get a new one for the least amout of money (all dealers i checked have good service. I dont bother checking with dealers i dont care for)

Nice mower Ted. 16" cut I assume? You covered a lot of ground!
@tedkahler97387 жыл бұрын
Yea its a 16 foot... Cut 60 acres in 4 hours yesterday... A guy can really get with the program with that machine
@GosselinFarmsEdGosselin4 жыл бұрын
We've had two green ones and currently have a red one.. Both green ones had the impeller conditioner, love the impeller conditioner!!! The red one is nicer in many respects, but has rolls.... Went for making 3-5 day hay to 5+ days.. but when we couldn't get driveline parts for over six weeks for the last Deere, we got the only discbine in the state... Replaced drivelines on it two years ago.. We can't do a 16' cut, never get it dry, so 10'.. still get 8+ acres an hour..

How is it with steel rollers? is the magnum the only tractor?
@tedkahler97387 жыл бұрын
Magnum is my only tractor. Dad has other tractors but i try to use mine for my stuff... And it has auto steer.... Dads dont... I dont care to drive LOL
@tedkahler97387 жыл бұрын
I think i made the right choice for me on the steel rollers I love them SO far
@gavinwalrath28347 жыл бұрын
ok we have been thinking about a new disbine and we were skeptical on the new holland cause they had rubber rollers we didnt know you could get steel rollers
@tedkahler97387 жыл бұрын
ITs an option... My dealer even tried to talk me out of the steel ... I have no regrets going with steel. You can see all the options on the newholland web sight

Our mower has been breaking down but we've had it a while. Running it to the shop tomorrow
@tedkahler97387 жыл бұрын
That is not good... I hate break downs but that seems to come with age... after so many acres things get tired. Needs fixed replaced or repaired. Just have to do whats best for your operation!

Just curious. Why does that thing use a 3-point instead of the drawbar? Are there actually times when raising that end helps?
@Dan.Whiteford7 жыл бұрын
Because it allows much sharper turns without destroying U joints when under power
@tedkahler97387 жыл бұрын
I LOVE 2 point equipment that is the main reason... the draw bar set up uses an adapter you have to put on your drawbar and i would rather just lower my 2 point hitch and lift it to hook up the mower... not go to shop.... get wrenches to get drawbar adapter on. I just think its easier to hook and unhook... They both allow for turning over 90 degrees the pto always stays straight

that must be a powerful machine, looks like you got over a lot of ground with it. was that a day's worth of cutting or just a couple of hours?
@tedkahler97387 жыл бұрын
I started at about 11 in the morning and was home by 7 in the evening. Had three different fields with two being 20 miles away so i had some drive time during the day.

I priced a new Holland a couple years ago that was still unused but was a couple years old and the deal was good but I couldn't figure out how to make the payments so I lost out on a brand new 7450 for a $20,000 savings Your machine is working nice , you can send me up his little 12' brother and I'll knock down first cut.
@tedkahler97387 жыл бұрын
That sucks that you missed out on a good deal....But alot of times you have to get your needs taken care of and then IF there is any money left get some wants.... To many people get what they want and not what they need

@tedkahler97387 жыл бұрын
I think its been about a month since i sprayed mine.... I have some videos on it if you look back. I cut some alfalfa yesterday (wasn't ours) that was only 4 inches to a foot tall from weevil damage!!!

Every brand breaks down sooner or later. How many horsepower does it take to run that beast?
@tedkahler97387 жыл бұрын
I think the manual say s 100.... but it all depends on how fast you wanna pull it and how big of hills you have!! I like to go fast...
