Challenger, the name says it all. With the Mustang as the King of the Road, and with the media circus surrounding the upcoming Camaro, you couldn't find a more suitable name for Dodge's new muscle car.

This car represents everything that Dodge should have done with the Charger in the first place. They did an outstanding job on this car, it looks awesome! I saw an all black and chrome driving the other day and it was almost to die for.

the 440 has a larger bore of 4.32" but same stroke of 3.75" in fact, all of the RB blocks have the same stroke.. old 383, 413, 426 wedge & 440.

I don't care about the tests, the ratings or any of that . I just have to get my hands on a Challenger. It is soo sexy. I went to the Dodge website and watched the short film about the Challenger. This one lady called it " a big, beautiful beast". That is very accurate.

good point but i've read in some places that it will have cylinder deactivation which could help. i'm just surprised they weren't more careful about making this thing too chubby- which it seems to be (ie- it's Heavy).

For a 4K+ beast that Challenger is, the SRT goes pretty damn well. The R/T,s 5.7 is a dang good motor, but it is just not enough for the weight of the car and needs the 6.1 or bigger to be completive on the strip. I have a 2010, and it handles great for its size.

Swapped my '08 GT 500 in for the SRT8 with the six speed in hemi orange. Their is no comparison. Looks better,sound like a junk yard dog,and really turns heads. This is a real old school muscle car. Can't wait to drive it when the time arrives.......

The main reason the Mustang has become the king of the muscle cars is because there was no one ther to fight it. Pontiac recreated the GTO, but it looked like just another Pontiac, but it had the power.

Beautiful car. I'm surprised they did not push more horsepower into the engine. It is hard to believe that a 2009 CTS-V will dust this car as a 4 door luxury sedan...

The Camaro is supposed to weight in around 3500-3600 pounds. Even having less horsepower, it should still match/beat the performance of the Srt8. Actually in a recent Car and Driver the Bullit Mustang with 315 hp ran something like .3 seconds slower then the Srt8. Plus an auto tranny will lose more hp to the wheels then a manual. The new Camaro will also use a tried and true motor that will have TONS of aftermarket support.

I got to see this car up close in person for the first time a few days ago. It was colored black and my god it was fucking beautiful! Sadly, like everyone else, I was leaning on the new camaro, but when I saw the production model, It didn't look as good as the concept. I'm a long time lover of the 60's muscle cars and I'm really loving these new versions of my old favorites. That being said, why do American car makers have the worst timing? With gas at $4 a gallon now they should have brought these cars to life 10-15 years ago when everyone was going SUV crazy. I think they've missed their timing on this one because gas is only going up from here and people are going to have to get economical cars weather they want to or not.

I'm tempted by this a lot, and there is now way I would get a Mustang or a Camaro. Those are way too common and most are just junk versions. This one looks straight out the 70's and somehow appeals more because of it, plus you don't see them hardly ever. The 2011 must be arriving soon, definitely going to take one for a spin.

G5 Posey, if you can afford it. or you can get a v8 edition and customize it yourself. in my opinion the Challenger looks one hell of a lot better with a body kit and some good exaust compared to the camaro.

walidmvp, of course its heavy, it's a 300c with a bodykit... the charger, 300c, and the challenger are all the same chassis, it's called a "cookie cutter" design, that way its cheaper to make all three. all companies do it.

You can't compare that car to a Mercedes or other 60-90k cars. It is a completely different type of vehicle. It was inspired by American muscle cars of the late 1960s/early 1970s.

Who cares who's the best or who came out first! There all new gen. classics & there all fun to drive. I own a Mustang Cobra, a GTO, & a Charger RT, next is the Challenger SRT8 then the Camaro SS/RS or Z28, so long as I keep making the money I'm making now, whitch brings me to the point, invest your money wisley kids! I started in 2000 & now I have everything I want & need. When this collection is done I'll be passing them on to my kids when I get there. As of now I love driving my new gen's!

Heard the news? camaro will have a 415hp ls3. and will weigh 400 pounds less.and that 415 will be under rated just like ls1 cars were. that motor is rated at 430 in the vette and they put that out to the wheels with exhaust and a dyno tune bye bye challnger. hope you guys like the new rear end styling lol. and as for the4 r/t...i hope you like getting your doors literally BLOWN OFF of the HEMI!!! Of the new Chevy Camaro, Ford Mustang and Thunderbird, and the Dodge Challenger, i would choose the Challenger r/t Classic. I like the other cars, but the Mustang is a cliche`-everyone has one. The thundebird isn't bad, but it lacks more horse-power(my aunt owns one). The Camaro Iroc-Z (second Gen) was my favorite; the new one is gagging. But the Dodge Challenger is ending after 2011, it has serious power, good on gas, and the classic look. How can it be a bad thing ?
