Rotaries do in fact have their limitations with how high you can rev it. Stock rotors and e-shaft are balanced to only about 8500rpm. You have to have the entire rotating assembly balanced together and recommend lightened rotors to be able to rev up to 10k rpm. Also, it is recommended to keep the engine under 4k rpm for the first 1000 miles for the apex/side/corner seals to seat in and wear in properly for full compression. It will be hard to have it seat it fully now that you have revved it beyond that. Car does look great though!

Who recommends 1000k after rebuild? Mazda certainly doesn't, and no pro race teams that use Rotarys do this. Apex and corner, side seals need to "seat"? 😂 This myth is only pushed by dodgy engine builders.
