To me, Nahida's play here was more than just "the power of friendship". This is essentially Nahida using the exploits of the Sages to help us defeat their artificially made god. The Sages used the Akasha to obtain the collective wisdom of Sumeru by harvesting dreams. Nahida does the same but instead of sourcing said knowledge from the subconscious dreams of the people, she sources it from their conscious minds. She essentially created a hivemind super computer to help Traveler analyze and counter Scaramouche's attacks. You add that with the 168 loops worth of data on Scaramouche's combat style and you've basically created a cheat engine for this fight. This is not your average "the power of friendship" moment, this is Scaramouche getting out-wisdomed by the true God of Wisdom.

The problem with that is why would ppl of sumeru help nahida when for hundreds of years they ignored her existence. That was way too random. If we cleansed irminsul first and THEN fought scara it would make much more sense for them to lend us strength.

@@fluffy_magnus no because it’s the Akasha, all throughout the quest they’ve been saying how people rely on the Akasha, and whatever the Akasha tells them is true or whatever the Akasha asked them, they did because it’s what they rely on, so it wasn’t Nahida asking for help directly to the people of Sumeru, it was the Akasha asking them for knowledge to defeat a fake god, that’s why everyone helped

Scara is a spectacle boss rather than a difficult boss like raiden; although if his spirit bomb attack killed ALL characters in the team it would be a precision boss more than anything i always forget the to collect the damn orbs. He should get a health & dmg boost asap or at least have the akasha pet stop shooting once his shield breaks so we have the chance to get on the plataform to hit his head like it was supposed to be

Well scara was right about one thing it took us 168 loops to finally defeat him, which actually makes him pretty sick. The boss both mechanical and design wise is so beautifully had they not nerfed it with that pet thingy it could have been so much more fun! This has to be my fav archon quest and writing wise Scaramouche and Nahida are fav characters. Really looking forward to see more of him. It kinda broke my heart a bit when I saw him begging Nahida not take the gnosis since technally that was his heart that he longed so much for. He has to be one of the most tragic characters so far :''')

My raiden died because of 999 ping issue he said I've become true god,bealzebul but i think the devs intentionally made scara boss fight easy because i don't think humans can create a ultimate god his armor literally got shredded i actually slightly felt sad for him because after losing faith in everything he only left with getting a gnosis and to become a god because that's his purpose and wanted to prove his mom wrong but nvm he lost like a sore loser i still don't hate him as much childe and signora doings

Well first phase is one shot and I did not even use the mechanic in the second phase. I had no idea what anything did. Just hacked at his ankles till he died. He was far easier than Signora and Puppet Raiden fight.

I think by far the story in Sumeru has to be one of the greatest if not the best so far. Each region had a very good story but I feel like Mihoyo stepped up in Sumeru. Leading up you get to see some back story of scara and how he slowly starts to change. Then we see him at his weakest point when Nahida takes the gnosis away. This story was tear-jerking, informative, and very awesome.

To anyone surprised that Scara isn't that hard (Compared to Raiden), think of it like this: Scaramouche is a STORY boss fight. If he was too hard, more casual players would get stuck and wouldn't be able to complete it. Raiden's boss fight meanwhile, is technically optional, aside from raising characters, so it's allowed to be a lot harder. Which sucks, cause I was hoping he would be the new toughest boss, but it's whatever. There's typically 2 Trounce Domain bosses per region, so we'll probably get a bigger challenge later.

Even his domain fight is very easy compared to Raiden. I took Xiao, Cyno, lvl 20 Candace and Kokomi since I was doing friendships, and I didn't struggle at all. If I did the same for the Raiden boss, I would likely die and not be able to do enough DPS to even 2 cycle her. ....Not to mention I didn't even got him knocked down during the spirit bomb attack, so I never got a DPS window. It was still too easy

His weekly boss is pretty easy too. Was able to do no hit/solo run after like 6-7 runs and looking at his attacks. He's way easier than Azhdaha or Raiden and even casuals can beat those two at some point. Bringing Zhongli with me to his fight felt like the biggest cheat ever Scara deserves more as a boss - his attacks are good and hit strong, but his HP is nothing compared to some other bosses we have, which is a shame. The moment he gets knocked down during second phase, it's over

Signora's a story boss fight, and I'd argue she's harder to fight than Scara. The problem with him is that he's too slow and predictable and has very low HP especially on his second phase. His second phase is literally just dodge till his shield breaks then one cycle him, and the Dendro pet can even damage him, so you can actually beat his 2nd phase by just dodging and doing nothing. Signora may also be sometimes predictable, but at least she has her annoying cold and burn mechanic that gives her a bit of difficulty.

@@basilisk.. there were people already solo-ing him and doing no hit run the same day the update dropped If you observe him a little without running around with a shield, his attack pattern is easy to master The low HP bar compared to, for example, Raiden doesn't help either. He's a very cool boss but after like 6-7 runs, I was able to do no hit run while vibing to the music

I feel lore wise it makes sense that the scara boss is weak. I do want it to be more difficult for sure but here this. The mech is built by people based on the prototype scara himself. While Shogun is something Ei perfected after learning from the puppet. I believe that would make sense why lore wise the shogun fight is way more difficult and elegant compared to the sages more intimidating mech .. at least that is my conclusion and opinion

Tbh the Raiden fight is way harder than this one, the hp of scara depletes so damn fast and he barely does any damage. But hey players are gonna get aNxIeTy if it there's even a fraction of difficulty right? This boss is cool as shit don't get me wrong, easily the best looking boss interms of design and animations, but atleast make it as hard if not harder than the Raiden boss fight, even then the Raiden fight is still pretty easy imo. The intensity of this fight gets completely throw out the window when players easily 1 cycles the fight.

During the fight they don't really give you enough time to read the information to know what to do. I only figured out what the flying pet does by accident on the first phase. On the second phase I didn't even realize you could shoot a massive blast from it until I saw another KZbinrs playthrough. They clearly focused more on appearances then actual clear mechanics.

even though they didn't give us much info, I just figured on my own xD. Like in the first part, I realised I can just kill him without doing anything extra. In the 2nd part, there were some orbs and shit and I figured I had to collect them xD. At one point there was this green glowy button at the right, I pressed it and aimed it at scara and he got damaged. I'm the 2nd part you can actually kill Jim without doing anything cause that flying dendro bunny would keep hitting it anyway xD. But I was still frustrated ;-;

I am one of those people who like figuring out what to do by themselves, there are even some games who don't explain to you any mechanics of the boss too. But friend told me it was fine and he had no problem with it? The only time we both didn't manage to read fast enough was when his name showed up on the screen

@@metcas I think both of you are right: the "1st to 168th iteration" AKA the first fight didn't really have any hints since it was our "first" fight with him and we didn't know how to exploit his weakness. This seems intentional, I pressed the tutorial/logs button "G" in the keyboard and no logs were given. Only after Post-cutscene we are given how the little green robot works and how the boss fight operates, but is far too fast a hint ingame. Perhaps they also think that we'd read it in the logs in the meantime since it also pauses in game events while reading stuff in the logs?

Well, they travel through the Multiverse inside a METEOR. And do you remember the Hydro Wave they took from Beisht during the Interlude Chapter Act I ? They took it full-face, were flung into a cliff and they basically lost consciousness just for a couple of seconds. Also, they are stated in game to have a lifespan of MILLENNIA (choice 1 during the Archon Quest Chapter 3, when we get a reading from the girl regarding 'health prospects') Despite their aspect, they are not regular Humans.

02:02 idk why but this part always makes me cackle lmao. The characters have been shutting Paimon up in very funny ways in this Archon quest. But damn, we got defeated 168 times? I wonder how the Traveler survived that punch this time lol. I felt bad for him when the Gnosis was taken away from him. Although it had to be taken away from him, and it's also for the best for him too. He only sees the meaning in his life by achieving the thing he was deemed too fragile for, after all, his purpose is the very reason why he exists. He will never understand his past, nor move on from it, if he kept the Gnosis with him. It's certainly a very sad cutscene, but it's for everyone's sake, his included. It's probably very terrible for him, but it's also the start for something better for him. Overall I absolutely love Sumeru's Archon quest, it's the best one so far. It made me excited for the next nation's Archon quest. Also, I really loved his boss fight, the mechanics are so cool and his attacks are so sick. I wish he had more HP.

I think it's more that he felt that the Gnosis was his right. He was built to contain one, to be discarded was very painful. So to him, this gnosis defines his worth and having it taken away takes away his sense of identity.

I'd agree with you if it weren't for androgyny. You think this is the case but it's not. Watch someone like IslandXD or Murderofbirds. I'd instead say it's simply because its a coincidence these male streamers tend more to the game side of the game unlike streamers like dish who simply enjoy all the game offers. Remember, there's some streamers out there that meet your specific demand when it comes to the type. And if there isn't, then watching multiple streamers could do (as I do). Just a suggestion. ;)

I disagree with it being the power of friendship/plot armour and find people wildly overuse and misunderstand the meaning of saying those words ever since it became so popular to say after fairy tail. Power of friendship is when X character gets a power of just from drawing on the mental image of friends. There is no way to explain where the character got the huge power boost, it’s just a lazy way to have a character overcome an obstacle. Meanwhile, this actually makes sense to the story and everything that’s been going on. So it’s not plot armor or the power of friendship. It’s literally the plot lol.

It was 168 cycles during the span of a single night. Remember, children do not wear the Akasha in Sumeru (in fact they do 'keep' their dreams, after all), they would have been basically neglected for half a year with their parents stuck in a coma, how could the Akademiya keep the whole thing a secret after that ? Not considering the crops wasted, the seasons changed 'after a single night' or simply people dying of starvation during the whole process. When you dream your sense of time is skewed, the Akademiya was capitalizing on that.

The Archon Quest Boss Fight is too squishy. But if you fight Scara again as Weekly Boss, it is more challenging which should have been the level of the Archon Quest.

The Electro Gnosis seems a Bishop but considering the Kabuto (Japanese Helm) it wears it could also be a Knight (a Samurai is a Japanese Knight, after all). I'm torn between the two, actually.

@@UberWraith no no no bishop makes sense think about it bishop moves in a straight line (you get what i mean). And blessing statue looks similar to bishop so she wouldnt move. pyro and hyro are knights cause they are similar. and dendro becomes rook. u can see in the gnosis theory
