What a GREAT first review of Courtney Hadwin, H3S!!! 🎄🎅 She is a 60's, 70's rocker at heart, but her voice and genre-versatility allows her to cover music from the past 60, 70 years, and of many different genre's, exceptionally well. Last year, at ONLY age 14, Courtz released 4 cover songs "Cover Sessions" on all major music services which now have over 15 million YT views. Hi HAP3SPEAKZ. So happy you came across Courtney. She is incredible and, IMO the best new artist to come into music in decades. Other than the absolute beautiful voice that is on full display in this song, there are two things that stand out about Courtney. She has the ability to touch your heart and soul like no other singer that I've ever heard. You mention the Lennon original. Great song, but no way that version could ever elicit the kind of emotional response that Courtney's rendition does. The second thing is that Courtney's creativity is off the charts. You talk about the total difference between the Courtney version and the Lennon version. As you listen to more of Courtney, you will find that she never tries to mimic anyone. She will only do a cover if she has a different take on a song. Since you're new to Courtney, a brief history. You're correct that Courtney rose to fame when she appeared on the 2018 season of AGT. Her audition video went viral and now has an estimated 400M views counting all of the copies uploaded. It's a must hear for anyone new to Courtney and I've put the link below. You also mentioned you didn't know about Courtney's vocal range. Maybe the best in music. She is equally brilliant across Rock, R&B, Funk Soul and Ballads. She has a naturally deep voice when singing but has an absolutely beautiful falsetto as well. When wanted she also has some of the best rasp and grittiness to her voice. Wow I still can't believe that there are people out there that haven't heard of Courtney. She's amazing! There is so much to hear from 9 yrs old till now. Everything she sings she puts her all into it. She shows emotions & feelings that most kids her age have probably never experienced. She has a way of drawing you in and experiencing those same emotions and feelings. She has touched my soul like no other artist has ever done. When she does a cover she does it her way with great respect for the original artist. I could tell by the way you just listened with your eyes closed that she pretty much was drawing you in! You seem like one of the more thoughtful reactors so I am eager to see you do more of Courtney. You can probably tell by the comments that you have hit on one of the next big superstars! At 16 she already has had over 2 billion worldwide views and has not even released her first album, which has been delayed by the pandemic. Her 2018 AGT audition at 13 is where she got her big break. She rocked and commanded the stage on AGT, but Courtney is a master of any genre, with about a 3 1/2 octave range, absolutely unique sound, and an unrivalled emotional soulfulness. There are several good suggestions for reactions in the comments that I hope you will follow on the way to being Courtzerized!

Hap, as others have said, Courtney was a viral sensation on KZbin for her 2018 performances on AGT. Well over 1/2 Billion views. As for lower register, she shines in that area, as well as her falsetto. She's been singing since age 9 and was a finalist on Voice Kids UK in 2017. She is currently about to release her debut album which has been delayed due to Covid. You really need to get on baord and react to her music Hap, you'll love it all!

I concur, So many videos from Courtney to enjoy. It's a shame some are sleeping on this talent. Of course once COVID is controlled and we are back to normal, Courtney will be able to put her music out and become a the huge star everyone, including all those famous artists who have raved about her for the past 30 months, expect her to be. Good reaction, my friend, I recommend you to hear "Sucker" in her voice, the original looks like a cover in her version, because the kids who sing the song, in my opinion, need singing lessons, nothing to do with Courtney's cover, the same thing with "Old town road", "River deep, mountain high", "Hard to handle", "Papa's got a brand new bag", and when she was 12, she made the cover on a song by Etta James, I don't remember the name of it, it was amazing.

Courtney is so unique. She has a big range, low to high and an incredible growl to her voice too. She can do so many styles it’s unbelievable. She has a great personality as well as being an incredible singer! She is from North east England, Hartlepool/county Durham area and is 16 years old. I’m a mega fan of Courtney, the same age as her 👍🏼. I’ve loved watching all your Queen reactions and now that you’ve discovered Courtney Hadwin Im very happy 😃. Her debut album has been delayed a lot due to Covid and some other things, but she was playing some of her original music in the background during one of her Instagram lives yesterday so it’s definitely getting close to release. When I wake up in the AM, 1st thing I do is look for anything new on Courtney. A new song, reaction, anything. Been getting a few surprises lately and some nice early Christmas gifts. Very well done reaction on her, HAP3SPEAK. Many used to think she was only a great rocker and RnB singer from AGT with some of the best stage moves we've ever seen. She has said herself, "I don't consider myself to sing in one specific genre". That's a fact, no one I've seen today has the ability to entertain on stage and rock out and then just stand or sit and sing like an angel with such a different style than anyone I've heard before. You always can tell Courtney's voice when she's singing, even when it's something new, as she recently did and surprised many of her dedicated fans on a live she did. Thank you for this reaction of Courtney, and sure hope you do many more. You will be shocked by how different she can be song to song. Terry that's one of my favorites by young Courtney. She really nails that one. I hope Hap gets back to her soon. He really hasn't tapped into what Courtney is capable of yet. If he knew how diverse she is and how she covers a wide gambit of the musical genre already at such a young age. Sometimes, artists who go in too many directions genre wise, can get lost in the music world. But with Courtney, she so damn good at everything she chooses to do, people just get more excited by her talents. God only knows how good she will be. If she stopped improving today, most of us still wouldn't be able to get enough of her. So many artists get boring after a while. Even many great bands from the good old days would eventually tire on me. But this young lady is so different and passionate, with so much talent, I look forward to what's next for her.

I thought the opposite myself. Pure feeling is what I get out of this. I don't think she wanted this to be a jolly happy Christmas song at all. She even talked about that on her LIVE chats and it's in the write ups about how she felt this song is about healing to her. But we each feel what we feel. Let's hope she get's her due one day. It's a shame she's had COVID now hurting her opportunities. And Woodstock 50th last year getting canceled on her. Or she would be huge.

It's just a matter to what style people like on who they follow most. For myself coming from the 60's and 70's style music, Courtney will always be a favorite of mine. She's so diversified and talented in all styles she chooses though, that people from today love her too. You haven't yet got to see that old school side of her I'm referring too.
