I love letting trees and branches naturally decay. It gives it an earthy feel to the garden and it represents the full circle of life.

Just the reality this year for our gardens, thanks for showing the beautiful with the not so lovely plants here in late September. Your garden is providing me with a lot of inspiration, it’s so well designed and pretty!

Greetings from Kansas City. August and first half of September has been bone dry but thankfully this last weekend gave the garden 2 inches of rain. It feels like Fall now with temperatures in the low 70s. Your garden is always beautiful. Mums are looking fantastic 😍

Your garden is gorgeous! I think you can make your flower beds larger to add more foliage.

Sorry about that drought. It's been the worst in sixteen years. My garden is very similar to yours. Can't water enough to keep it going. Lack of water is sure hard on gardeners. Thanks very much for the videos.

I live in the Memphis, TN area, zone 8a or 8b, not sure which anymore. We struggle with lots of humidity, heat, draught, gully-washers, chewing insects, powdery mildew and fungus. HA!! But, I still love to garden. I've had to pull quite a few plants because they were just worn out and looking crummy. I do have quite a few mums that are coming back from last year, some of which have gotten so large they've crowded out some of their planting bed buddies. I enjoy your channel and your garden is beautiful!!! I also really like your new fence; it's given your beds a whole new look.

Your garden is always beautiful and i get so many ideas. 😊 i love being able to see the changes throughout the seasons. We were hot and wet in MN for most of the summer, and so many of my plants had fungal diseases, it was quite frustrating (and then the japanese beetles, of course!). Now it's been hot, dry, and windy, haha. I've spent a lot of time watering. But, some plants have thrived, so it also gives me a better idea of where to make little changes, as i start the fall shuffle of plants. 🍂

Enjoy the fall shuffle, I know I am looking forward to the cooler temps to get some things done finally!

Warm, windy, no rain here too. We have not had much rain for over a month. Most of the garden beds are dying back and don’t look so good.

I hope you got more rain than the 0.03" we did here in Iowa City...the line of rain split and went north and south of us :( I'm keeping my asters, mums and Japanese anemones watered in hopes of the plants holding onto the flowers longer. At least it has turned cool!

Soleilさん、こんにちは。 I also like Black Prince and planted it in the spring, but as you know, it did not survive the summer due to heat and humidity. I will change my mind and start working in the garden this week. I will be planting a lot of Coneflower inspired by your video.

Hey Solei!!! Plenty of life still going on there !! I understand !! Im depressing already over blah winter. Swore i would never try winter sowing again BUT 🤦♀️ Im mid east coastal. Couple plants havent faired very well . Think worse issue was kittens using them as a litter pan. And Ants !! Had whole row of Sunflowers take. And disappear . Swear the Ants ate them. Three survived my insect spray drenching. Gonna be getting me more Butterfly bush, Gardenia , Hollyhocks, and Coral Geraniums next year . Theyve performed the best for me so far. I was happy with Canna lilies but they ALL did horrible this year. Grew half way and not one flower !! Other peoples around here flowered. Well i guess ill suck it up and get prepared for winter 🥶

It’s the time of year where the gardens are preparing for dormancy. Still lovely gardens you have. Thanks for sharing. What is the burgundy grass with the tan plumes in your front garden bed?
@Suburbanoasis3 ай бұрын
That grass is purple fountain grass. It is an annual.

Looks very nice! We've had a historic drought in Ohio this year. I water my garden constantly. It's also been brutally hot all summer. 90 degrees today. Supposed to rain this week finally. What is the tree directly in front of your house?
@Suburbanoasis3 ай бұрын
That tree is a Green species japanese maple. I grew it from about 10 inches tall over 20 years.
