The center of gravity (CG) was too far back, so I moved the battery forward. Now the CG is positioned at 1/4 to 1/3 of the wing's chord length from the leading edge. At 80% throttle, the plane can fly level without pitching up or nose-diving. Adding a 2-3 degree angle of incidence to the wings is very important. Move the V-tail forward, ensuring it's at least 10mm away from the motor; otherwise, the motor's turbulent airflow will affect the tail's performance.

@@t1m790 yes I had thought the cg was 1/4 the cord but it was just slightly forward of that. After adding some weight it performed nicely. I've still got a few small changes to make to this design. I'll definitely make more changes in my next v tail pusher design. This did great for a first try though!

@anasyt7009 absolutely! Check out the next 2 videos. Also I'll have more coming. I've already modified the plane to fix my cg issue!

@@FlyTimeRC looking forward to see that modification. Please could u tell my how much the long of ur wingspan and fuselage and v tail
@FlyTimeRCАй бұрын
@anasyt7009 wing is 48" wide with a 8.5" cord at the root and 7.5 at the tip. The fuse is 2.75"x2.75" and 36" long from the tip to the motor mount.

I want to build one but I am a noob and that V Tail has me scratching my head. Are there thrust line issues at work too, maybe? Id like to see a slow build vid too... some of the ones I have seen leave me with more questions than before. Cant wait to see the next flight...
@FlyTimeRC26 күн бұрын
@@Glenfilthie1 I understand that for sure. I'll have to make a build video. As for pusher planes they are definitely more complicated. At least with the pusher I've built I lined up the center of thrust with the bottom of the wing. I've seen lots of others do the same with similar designs. The v tail itself is simple. I've made all of mine with the sides at 90 degrees from each other. It's worked perfectly. Also going with about 1/5 the tail surface area to the wing area.
