I love modern metal and mostly listen to that, BUT I did grow up as a little kid with 80s Thrash and Power/Speed Metal. Been absolutely obsessed with Tech Death the last 10 years, and then a ton of Metalcore/Deathcore and Progressive bands but... First Fragment has enough of true 80s Metal/Shred around that this song gives me that same "aw fuck yeah, metal" sentiment. Not an elitist, I love all the modern and core stuff, but this is true metal in the way that Jason Becker and Cacophony had it 40ish years ago, except we gave that blastbeats and death metal vocals.

my mind is struggling to comprehend the parts at 1:30 and 3:38 if my metronome clocks correctly this song is somewhere around 215/220 BPM. That means the Sextuplets he is playing with the kicks here are speedwise equal to 16thnotes at around 325 BPM for gravity blasts thats actually pretty "slow", but how on earth is he getting the double bass to that speed???? and on top of that its unedited?
