I agree Dee. With the way things are right now with Sleepy Joe at the wheel you never know what is going to happen next. We want to be as prepared as possible. Plus it feels great to be doing our own thing and getting returns for it. Thank you so much for watching.

Thanks, the garden is doing great. We get tons from it everyday now. Lots of canning for storage this winter and helping with the grocery bill. I tried a jalpeno and it burnt me up. lol

Nice Peppers, yes I said pepper! Your tomato's did much better than mine. Well, let's eat the melon! It's all about learning! I hope we can have one this year. Thanks William!

So you like my peppers huh? lol We have killed it on tomato's this year. You can't grow them in sand. I though you was from the country? You know better than that. lol I am sure you will figure it out now that you are living down there full time. Do a raised garden and add dirt. The watermelons have been great. Got one coming off today. Plus been getting a lot of cantaloupes as well. Eaten like a king man. lol Y'all should come on by for a few days.

Thanks Jim. Yeah you know how it is. Hard work but feels great when you start getting return. Nothing like being able to take care of your own when needed. With the way things are going right now that could be sooner than later. Sleepy Joe keeps falling asleep at the wheel. Great to hear from you buddy. Hope you and the family are well.

Yup. I think it's great you're growing stuff in your garden. Wish I could grow stuff lol. Those are nice looking jalapenos. Yum. Love hot ones. They're the best ones. Some nice peppers. I love stuffed green peppers. I need to make that. Haven't done it in a long time. Wow that's a big mater. Oh yes! Watermelon!! They are looking good. Bummer that the strawberries aren't producing. I'm so jelly of your pretty little garden. Cool that you're going to extend it. You should grow potatoes. We watched some videos on how to do that. Might give it a go next year. We'll see.

Yeah we love doing this. It has been great. I want to turn it from a garden to a crop at some point. I don't eat jalapeños, but I did try these and they burnt me up. lol We will hook you up with some next time you are in the area. Peppers too. I love the maters. The watermelon I can wait to be able to eat but I think we still have about a month on them. We are still holding out hope on the strawberries. Potatoes are for sure on the list next for year. We are planning to plant a full section of them. Look forward to seeing how yours goes if you decide to do them. We are loving homesteading. Hard work but worth it.

I know nothing about vegetables Seems like you just started. Awesome job Watermelon 🍉- great for a hot day Farmer William 🤗 Oooh - strawberries 🍓 I love ❤️ Can’t wait to see 🤗

Would have loved to came for a few weeks for sure up there. So much work here in the summer I think my summer travels are over for a bit unless local. Am planning for the winter though. You may want to ask Jessica about cooking. I assure you don't want me cooking anything. lol I suck. They start yellow than turn red in a day or so. They are full red now. I can't wait for the watermelon. We still have about 30 days till they will be ready. We are still holding out on the strawberries and they come back so maybe next year will be better. I like the name Farmer William. lol

Hey that’s great! You’re going to have a ton of peppers and tomatoes 🍅. We’ve been picking ours too, but only have a few potted plants 🪴. Sue has canned a dozen pints of pickles and salad cubes. And we are dicing and freezing peppers almost daily. Tomatoes are so good when they can be vine ripened, and we’re having tomato sandwiches 🥪 and BLTs that are sooo good. You guys are so blessed to have such a great garden spot. Thanks so much for sharing your first harvest!

Hey Jurgen, thanks for watching. Yeah we have some canning plans coming up. We are starting to get more maters now so we hope to can about 100 or so jars before the end of the season. Wanting to get a freeze dryer at some point. Nothing better than the taste of your own made food for sure. Hope y'all are doing well and being able to get out more. With the sleepy Joe gas situation we have canceled our trips this year. May pick back up in the winter at some point.

@@SmallSpaceLiving I hear ya buddy. I know you guys are going to have a bunch of good food to put up. You two have done a great job and I love to see people like you who are not afraid of a little (or a lot) of work. You have a fine start there. Love the watermelons! As to camping ... we already canceled a couple reservations I had made. We'll just have to wait and see how things go. You guys take care and keep up the good work. Tell Jessi I said "hi" and I know she put a lot of work into that garden too. Can't wait to see what it yields.

@@JurgensJourneys Yeah I enjoy the work. It reminds me I can still get out there and do it when I want to and not sit at this computer all the time. Can't wait to get a watermelon to eat. Man they look good. Yeah it's crazy trying to go out and pay all that gas right now. Not to mention people are getting crazy as well with everything going on. We are starting to look at vans but not sure. Just really want something super small and easy to get around in. Yeah Jessica has the green thumb for sure. Nothing to do with me on that one. lol Always great to hear from you.

Thanks y'all. Come on down and we will cook them up. lol We had went about 20 days with no rain and just got a couple days worth before the video.
