That is some bad ass fabrication buddy. Sweet, love home stuff like this. Creativity feels good. That's a lot better than one of those other 12,000$ pop up campers. You built the Toyota equivalent to a Westfalia volkwagen on a 4Runner.

love what you did to your 4runner. I am wondering if you could tell me what sending unit you used for the indicator light for your axillary fuel tank. Thankful for any help
@ParkerWismar3 жыл бұрын
Its a stainless steel 1/8 npt float switch from amazon- www.amazon.com/Madison-M5000-Stainless-Miniature-Pressure/dp/B00909365S/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=stainless+steel+float+switch&qid=1621871160&sr=8-4 I mounted it at the bottom of the tank on a custom tube that fits into the factory sending unit spot on the top of the tank. Be sure to use gasoila to seal it up, its the only thing that will seal the threads and stop gas from getting in and ruining the float switch
@surfnstocks29983 жыл бұрын
@@ParkerWismar thank you! I am also wondering how/ where did you connect from the auxiliary tank to the original tank?
@ParkerWismar3 жыл бұрын
@@surfnstocks2998 they’re connected at the filler neck by a big t piece right next to the stock gas tank that then has a filler hose extend across the tunnel over to the secondary tank. The fill tube from the secondary to primary rank comes out of the factory pump outlet side on the secondary tank (I just got a metric thread to npt to barbed fitting to eliminate custom hoses) and into a barbed fitting that I welded into the top of the fuel pump holder on the original tank. It then just dumps down into the tank from there. I thought about plumbing into the factory return line and using a check valve to stop back flow but didn’t want to risk messing up the factory fuel system
@surfnstocks29983 жыл бұрын
@@ParkerWismar I got that part but I am wondering about when you transfer gas from Auxiliary tank over to main tank. I got the filling setup
