I love the joy in the voice of your passenger (and you!). It must be great to be able to do this for your friends...especially when they obviously enjoy and appreciate it so much! My dad used to take us over our house and it was always a rush! That was in a Cessna 210 so we could see it really well (before his Apache). Keep up the great videos. Oh, and I agree, write that book! Haha!

Great stuff. I got to do this my first lesson. The PIC said You're going to fly over your house. Now let see if know how to get there. Lesson in situational awareness and navigation by site. I still remember every emergency landing site if the need ever come up from learning what is around the field.. I remember My mother being in the yard saying shit this is going to cost me a fortune. Being she learned in a Stearman!

Sounds like a fun first lesson! There is definitely a lot of value in distracting a student with airwork or sightseeing. They'll learn a lot from it. You're so right about spotting the landing fields, though! There is a HUGE difference from simply keeping your eyes outside the cockpit like your instructor tells you to, and actually 'seeing' outside the cockpit when you need to.

As always such a cool stuff!!! I wanna fly over my house and take some pictures but unfortunately O`hare Int Class B Airspace does not let me!!! My house is right underneath the Class B surface area and i have never flown into a Class B but i`ll definitely give it a try once a get my PPL! Fly safe capt!

yep. That was way cool!! love the way you edited that action too. Technology today. when I was a kid.. Dad (ret b29 pilot) went flying with a friend in C150.. .. they circled the farmhouse and dad actually dropped a bag of candies to us kids looking up. We didn't know it was dad until later that evening when he came home...and he played along a while as us kids excitedly told the story of the airplane that circled and dropped treats.

Haha its easy to find my house, its right by the shore, the tower even had me orbiting right over my house one time bc it was really busy at the airport, i will be flying again tomorrow after 4 months of no flying :) :)

+Friendly Skies Film at my home airport we have vfr routes inbound and outbound, and the route 2 has a point in my neighborhood, so called inner point, so the controller wont let you past it unless he can fit you in, my house is right between the inner and outer point so haha,, you can check my channel if you dont get what im trying to say
