Thank you for this. I'm having to work a "normal job" and it makes me appreciate giging so so much more!

I actually just got hired on in my first audio engineering position as the Asst. Coordinator for Student Technical Services at a university on March 9th, 2020, after several years after getting my B.S. in Audio Engineering and working freelancing and my own projects here there, and was stoked... only to have a week of shadowing shows before our university closed down. So I've essentially been working for 6 months now in my position, and I still feel like the new guy cuz we're not doing shows! I am lucky to be still be working, even if we have no events. Like, ever since that first week of actually getting to see the magic of running a show, even if I was just shadowing, got me excited to be finally running audio for shows... then BAM, nope. Not happening. I'm just seriously jonesing to actually get started lol I'M JUST WAITING TO DO A SHOW lmao aahhhhhhhhhh man!!!!!! It's torture!

Hang in there, Levi, it will happen. I just did 4 shows in the last 2 weeks and it feels like getting back to normal. Knowing how fragile it all is makes you appreciate it even more.
