In 1st grade we used the good and the beautiful for handwriting. However now we are using handwriting without tears and are really liking it.

In 1st grade we used Abeka’s handwriting. For 3rd grade we have used copy work & spelling words from Master Books for handwriting. This summer I plan to use these handwriting joke books I found on Amazon! Thank you for sharing all of your homeschooling finds with us. I enjoy your channel so much!

I love this self made handwriting. We had tried A Reason for Handwriting this year because it made a Sonlight package cheaper when bundled, but I switched to having my first grade daughter write the letters, words and sentences in a primary composition book instead because I wanted her to continue with D’Nealian which is what I like for Pre-Cursive print. Just my preference. ♥️ Anyway, thanks for sharing this! I’m definitely going to check out the Draw Write Now books! 🥰

We use a combination of TGTB and A Reason for Handwriting! My kids are always asking to working in their handwriting books which gives them some busy work while I work with their siblings

We are using BJU this year for handwriting (I actually have 2nd and 4th grader). The cursive style is a little different, but both of my kids love it, and my son (4th grader) who struggled with cursive previously, finds it very enjoyable and his handwriting has improved so much this year. My 2nd grader has started cursive with the 2nd grade curriculum and she loves it and her writing is beautiful. So we will likely continue with BJU next year too.

Next year will be first grade for us and we are planning to use Spelling You See for both spelling and handwriting. We are doing the same thing this year for kindergarten.

We use TGTB handwriting currently. We’ve used K and level 1. My 2nd grader would love the critical thinking book! He is a thinker. Lol!

I use Rod and Staff's Pentime books and Highlights Activity Books. Sometimes I write a sentence or passage in a composition book and let my sons copy.
