Well I finally got me an AT Gold ! , it seems to be a pretty good machine, I found cut Spanish silver with it and many other relics while on my first hunt . You will love the AT- Gold as I do mine . My friend has a E-Track and we go hunting together and out of every 20 digs I do 16-17 are good targets . My friend and his E-track that he now calls E-turd is around 50-50 . I have got to where I call him Scrap-Iron . Listen to your tones and they will help the most and the numbers are great also :)

On that new pouch you can punch in grommets to help save the holes from getting any bigger. You can buy them in Walmart or Harbor Freight.

The TAG; Sharp and Dohme was a company that made pharmaceuticals. That is an old tag maybe off from an old bottle of balm for the horses or some other medicine. Man o man you find a lot of harmonica reeds! Spoons and reeds, seems they were very popular.

The ATGold is the best detector on the market! It has fast separation and can find a silver half dime 6 inches deep with iron surrounding it. I've had mine for two years now. I found 38 large coppers last year with my prize being a Fugio cent. Anyway, congratulations Nugget...we should hunt sometime:)

nuggetnoggin you know what, i'm really glad you addressed what you use as a finds pouch. I have looked at the dump pouches as an option, because over here at least, the only thing we can find online are the standard Garrett finds pouches. And to be honest, they really aren't that good if you are in a trashy area and need to carry out a bunch of crap. I've started using a small backpack for the trash and the garrett pouch for my lunch, extra batteries, and a bottle of water in the trash side of the pouch, and then coins and such go in the small section of the pouch. But I keep thinking there has to be a better option for a finds pouch. Someone needs to make a dump pouch with a small section for the goodies. Or if your dump pouch has molle on it, perhaps attach a smaller bag on it for the goodies. Either way, I'm surprised that none of the other companies are into making accessories that are well thought out. Bob in Germany

I've been using an AT Gold exclusively for relic hunting, for about 4 months. Love it! (To the guy saying it's too chirpy in all metal) many machines are! Have you ever used a T2 or an F75? Also, back off the sensitivity and re-ground balance at that sensitivity.

Hi NUGGET....my birthday was the day after Christmas and my hubby gave me the Garrett AT Gold. Could you please advise me on some important tips? Any tips please?
