You'all need a drill for that auger bit! I've had those pike stare like that soooo many times smh lol! Sometimes they will sit and stare for 5 minutes or more.

We also had a gas 2 stroke out that day we used to pop most our holes I just forgot to record it, sometimes the hand held is easier to get to the first hole or two. This was also early season we ended up picking up a StrikeMaster 24v after this video and have used it sense, works great and light! Appreciate the watch! @@KrisDeBakey oh cool! I really got hooked on pike fishing the first time I saw one on camera like that come in and stare. I started taking suckers and running 3 treble hooks through them on steel leaders, then I would drill a hole starting at the top of the head down to the tail as best I could lol. Then I would inject construction foam into them. Throw a weight on and they would float the right way and looked just like a Rapala 🤣. They worked really well for me. The biggest one caught with that method was a 7 pounder. I went to pee and my friend caught it in my rod 🤦🏻‍♂️. It’s so cool to see them on camera engulf that whole sucker!

@@SVMSICE great story and good info thanks! My last video caught my first ~18 inch pike throw throw ice on a minnow! The week before I had a big gator staring at my water dog at a better fishery with bigger pike called 11 Mile up the mountain in Colorado.

@@KrisDeBakey that’s where I’ve done all my pike fishing at, 11 Mile through the ice. I’ve had epic days for pike from the boat at Spinny Mountain. Pike is, in my opinion the best tasting fish! They suck to clean though 🤣
