Subscribed, keep it up man your doing awesome one thing I’ve learned is the better everyone is prepared the smoother things go but even with you being the boss everyone has to pull their weight and set themselves up. Time will tell who stands out and has learned the way. Love seeing the Chevy fleet! Cmon

great video, thanks for sharing it and taking the time to video, the small things that you remember to do and remind the guys such as turning down the spinner at curtain points and lots of other small things really shows that you are on top of your game and are NOT scatter brained, great focus for sure, this all shows in the quality of work that you do.

I have been plowing since 78 . At one point 12 trucks, hand crews and running every aspect from mechanic, accountant, supervisor and driver. I feel your pain trust me. Now I just drive one new truck Vbox and snoway 29R . Just sub out and have high end zero tolerance lots they provide salt bin skid loader just for my route. Way less stress and just have to flip the buttons and drive. Yep next run will be better.

Glad ya mentioned my comment in the video. Makes sense that what you do works for you. We do use a tandem with a big smith salter then 4 single axles 2 kenworth t300 and 2 freightliners same size. That set up works for us. We do have lots spread out all over to I gotta say where the tandem shines is on them nuisance snow falls. He can go out early spot salt the lots and just have one salt truck out. We’d have more pick up salters if we used them to plow. We have roughly 50 ish loaders and a dozen or so skid steers. They have been doing it for 30 yrs so took a long time for who I work for to get to that point. We also get a ton of snow. Great video nice to see how you guys do it and how it works for you. Hopefully you guys will get a couple years of lots of snowfall and you guys can start getting some loaders gotta say you can’t beat a loader with an arctic or metal pless plow. I do like the looks of the new fisher pusher that Maggs has on his little loader.

If you run 4 more straps on those tornadoes they don’t move. The 2 in the back can go behind the bumper and hook to the hitch or frame rail and the front two can go to the hooks of the other ratchet straps on the front corners of the bed. On the flatbed we do the same but also bolt that to the boards for the winter.

I think videos that show what it takes to do a job or produce a product are very important to show why things cost as much as they do.Your customers only see a worker driving around spreading salt, but if they watch these videos they will see all the other stuff that goes into it. If you watch what it takes to make or harvest food you will wonder why its not more expensive.

I would invest the time and energy into further developing Hunter into a leader. Your business is an extension of yourself and you take pride in what you do. A front line field manager who understands the business and could provide a buffer that would dramatically help keep the bouncing ball moving. Over time the need to chase your ass will begin to reduce. Every minute gained and headache avoided is an opportunity to focus on the bigger picture.
