All the entrance money go toward the local community to maintain and keep those structure in shape , 15 dollar is nothing if you respect the local culture and monuments if you got no money then don't travel simple

$15 is plenty of money, and by looking after the locals there is making it open for all international travelers to purchase goods and exchange with them, not over charging an entrance fee and having some people around the world aren't able to afford this absurd entrance fee, so no sorry but will never support a government who doesn't treat people equally

​​@@gofindmo$15 is indeed expensive. But this city and Architecture is all about more than 900 years old. There are lots of worker and lots of effort going around to protect the city. The earthquake in 2016 damaged that's why they are under construction. I don't see people complaining about when they pay about 30 euros to visit Van Gaugh museum or Coloseum (they get much tourist than Nepal ). And regarding Indian and SAARC nationals paying less money is because we have different types of treaty with these countries.

15$ entrance fee is not much my friend! the other durwar squares at kathmandu and patan also charges you about 1000 rupees. majority of the income of bhaktapur municipality comes from tourist fees and they are used to rebuild and keep the heritage sites protected!! it takes alot to protect and rebuild them as bhaktapur doesnt takes donation from foreign countries rather with own expense ! welcome to nepal! enjoy your time here❤

i dont know if you visited Dattatraye square, you ended the video right before reaching there. That square is one absolutely gorgeous square and the oldest one here in Bhaktapur.

I really dislike the entrance fees. We can almost visit any place in Europe without any entrance fees. This kind of fees really discourage foreigners to visit those places which could help the world know about Nepali history and culture.

You can stay more than 2 weeks in a good hotel in Nepal at the same price for one night in a cheap European hotel

We pay a lot more or similar price for museums, gardens, castles in the west. Considering lot of other things like food, hotels, transport are so much cheaper in Nepal, I think $15 for the whole world heritage site is not that bad. Its not 15 quid for just one temple or one tower. The whole town is literal living museum, hundreds of years old history and culture.

Talking about UK, literally for the London eye you pay about £29/30 just to get a better view of London which you can from any free roof top gardens, you pay about 60!!! For Madame Tussauds for some wax statues. Here in Bhaktapur, it is the whole city that has been preserved to its historical time, from the shops, houses, streets, temples, palaces, to people’s lifestyle even now. All I am saying is Bhaktapur is definitely worth 15quid considering it’s value.
