You connect with the people better then most fragrance influencers. You keep it real and give your point of view without forcing, or influencing others to spend their bread unless they sample and really like it. I appreciate you bro, keep doing ur thing!

First off bro welcome back!! Your new setup is 🔥🔥🔥 I’m digging the vibes here. I appreciate the real talk throughout this stream, EQ. Too many grown “men” in this community talking out of the side of their mouths with no facts and no substance. That’s called jealousy which is just weird to me.

Great live my guy, glad to see you back and congrats on the new house ! Since we're talking investment and grown man stuff, I'd recommend you listen to Chris Johnson's podcast: Bit by Bit (another reference to "BRICK BY BRICK"). If you don't know him already I think you're going to like his perspective. Regarding fragrances, can't wait for your top 50 for summer, you've been talking about a summer list for a while so I know it will be dope. Peace.

I’m glad you mentioned DAN from my mickers. That’s how I know you from the old school fragcom. Which I also pride myself in. I will always respect what they brought to fragcom. The still LEGENDS in this game. Robes 08 is one of the first to ever start so he just need to understand the fragrance community is more about commercial content now. Jeremy Fragrance is what made fragcom commercial. But it is what it is. At the end of the day we all share our passion for fragrances and I’m cool with that.

Agree with you re Marc. Sad considering he (& some other Canadian guys; Cuby, Hiro, Frunk etc) really kickstarted this KZbin fragrance review game, and put me on to people like CoachRob619. But he's denigrating ppl as a form of fragrance superiority - you had me laughing at the point where, if it ain’t vintage Guerlain, Frederic Malle, Chanel etc, then to Marc you don’t know what you’re talking about 😂😂😂

I like your content. You seem intelligent, thoughtful and have supportable opinions. At one point in today’s video you asked what Fragcom is looking for (paraphrased). I am looking for authenticity. If someone has clones and they’re giving reviews and they are not beholden to someone, they paid and they say what they think… perfect. If they have only Rojas and they aren’t being provided them or being directly influenced and they provide their opinion, so long as they are honest. Perfect. My issue is when individuals are not transparent about factors that may influence their opinion. Payment or bottles are raise suspicion. Overt and intentional deception really bothers me. We all indirectly and unintentionally deceive each other. This is unavoidable. I don’t want the impossible just honesty. Authenticity. I’ll keep watching.

I tend to look at the free bottle idea from the business's perspective. As a business, they could spend 100's of thousands or more on a PR/Advertising firm, set up an expensive ad campaign and maybe get a few 1000 extra in sales. Or, let a freelancer do your advertising for you, and target 200,000 people who are into that space and it would cost you maybe $5,000 and like 4 bottles to a few reviewers. Of course these companies will go with the cheaper option and one that will hit their target audience. Like for me this is just good business practice. Yeah, watching reviewers need to be taken with a grain of salt. Of course they will be less critical cause they don't want that money to dry up. But honestly, it should be up to the consumer (all of us) that watch to do our own research

Pretty nutty that perfumes can get people so heated isn't it? Does beg the question, what makes a good review? Bonus points from me to any reviewer that always recommends sampling before buying, and NEVER blind buying. How the hell did bigotry become a topic in perfumery? Here we go 2025! Positive vibes in the new year, and in your new abode.

Been following Robes since 2011. He has his own spin and for sure is t for everyone. Overstepping bounds? Sure. But he is certainly 10 toes down in the game. Yeah he may be somewhat perplexed over the techniques of modern reviewers. Jealous even. His followers aren't sweating the condescending tone. No one needs to not be themselves.

What's happening, Equality fragrances? I have viewed KZbin videos from a distance. As a former fragrance reviewer, I left the fragcomm due to my observation, not pointing fingers, that a lot of reviewers act one way on camera and are a whole nother animal in the comments. I tried to encourage the fragcomm in my time for them to be a REFLECTION of who they are on camera. Since most reviewers decided to do their own "agenda," I got frustrated and left for the book community. I still love for fragrances, don't get me wrong, but it seems that my departure was one of the best decisions I ever made.

Angels' Share always makes me envision Don Vito Corleone (even though many women like it I see it as a masculine scent) and this new edition sounds like it might be his wife lol. I have a sample of AS I smell from time to time and while I do like it there's a used ashtray vibe I'm getting that keeps me from putting it on my skin. I wouldn't mind smelling it on someone else though, man or woman. Now, let me watch the rest of this and see what kind of goofy stuff fragcomm has going on...

Welcome back! Its crazy because you can mentor and raise up people to your level, or try to bring everyone down to try and stay on top. Dudes more concerned about other peoples bottles than the one he is allegedly ‘reviewing’. A bitter man, angry that the world didn’t wait for him.
@STAMPEDFRESH16 минут бұрын
The free bottle brigade is real though, some have even been exposed after raving about a free fragrance they received somebody recorded them talking about their actual feelings. I have no issue with people doing business, but you walking your audience into a burning house and saying oh well, that's some snake stuff. Fragrances aren't cheap, and you're getting free bottles and influencing your audience to buy junk that you know is junk.
@jaimelacalle280224 минут бұрын
NGL I feel Robes spends too much time talking about how hes a real reviewer, but u cant deny his authenticity. And he wouldnt have to call out industry shills if they werent everywhere. People need to know which influencers are getting payed for reviews, not being honest, someone has to do the exposing.

I’ve been collecting since 2010ish. Watching Marc since probably around that time and like many others around that time he dropped off. I also dropped off collecting and by the time I came back around the community was felt so much bigger, diverse, and resourceful. I don’t have the desire or money to continuously buy so I love all the opinions that can help me narrow down anything I’m moderately interested in. That being said I really appreciate seeing the black gentlemen around my age and up. Salute🫡
