First Impressions: Direful Doll Master, Androld! [CFV Divinez Reveal]

Hey everyone! We're back with another deck, and this time it's the horrific Direful Doll Master, Androld and his dolls her to give us a frightful show! This deck Soulcharges, Calls from the Soul, Binds from RG, then can be used as Guard during the next turn! On top of that, you also get and extra Drive Check off of calling Units if you meet a certain, easy-to-meet requirement.
The part of this deck that is super interesting to me is the inspiration from where this deck comes from. Card games in general have always taken real world figures and mythology and turned it into playable cards, and this deck has the same foundation thematically. A look into the horrific nature of the Grand Guignol, a genre of theater originating in France, the ringmaster, Androld is an homage to Andre de Lorde, the main playwright and author of the Grand Guignol from 1901-1926. On top of that, there was a puppet named Guignol that also ran as a show depicting the life of silk farmers at the time in France. There are tons of mythologically-inspired decks already, but this one in particular just differently, as someone who has always been one to shy away from horror movies, the little research that I did put into the Grand Guignol truly pulled me in enough to delay this video a day. Anyway, what I'm trying to say was that it was a fun 1AM rabbit hole to jump down, explore, then relate back to something I enjoy playing. Hat's off to Bushi for the references in this deck, and I hope that we get even more intriguing ridelines like this one in the future.
