First time I visited Egypt was back in 1975 for business , followed by at least 15 years constant visits. In 1980 I spent Christmas and New Year with my family and traveled the whole country from Alexandria to Luxor and Aswan. Very friendly people, extraordinary history and fantastic Hotels. I love Misr and the dessert. شكرا لك يا مصري على تجربة رائعة.

We were there in April and saw few tourists: Asians, Europeans and some Americans. Egypt is AMAZING. Yes traffic is crazy in Cairo - like in any major cities- but the temples, monuments and Pharos culture are out of this world! Hassling is bad everywhere. Even in the south cities like Aswan and Luxor. Luxor is an open museum. King Tut is in the valley of the kings in Luxor, not in Cairo’s museum. Great value too. Everything is so cheap. Hospitality was good and it was safe!

*_"Is it safe to travel to Egypt?"_* I'm Egyptian and I'm telling you _Yes_ ,keep in mind that no where is safe, and bad people are every where, don't talk about a specific country if it's safe or not, cause unsafety is every where around the world, and let's take a consideration and say that a person hates a specific country he will call it "unsafe" but in reality this specific country is safe but not 100% safe as I said that bad people who cause threat(s) are every where, and if us (humans) kept hating, stealing, fighting and killing each other in wars, I promise you that there will be no hope unless we sticked together and loved each other, imagine our world how beautiful it will be if all the conflicts and bad stuff we do stop, but still it's a thing that I think it might not ever happen till the end of days...

I am SO going to love this series!! I have had a very keen interest in Egypt ever since I was a kid, it's such a fascinating and mystical culture. I was in Egypt back in 1990. I guess neither of you were even born yet, haha! It was amazing! Walking in the Valley of the Kings, visiting King Tut's tomb, that museum, we went to the tomb chamber in the Great Pyramid as well. And many other ancient ruins while we were on a Nile cruise. Their knowledge and technology was quite mindblowing when you think many of these were built thousands of years ago. With such incredible precision! And they worshipped cats, another reason to love them even more, lol. Just after we left, the Gulf War started, and I guess since then things have not been the same, with several terrorist attacks and so on. So it's understandable that people are a bit afraid to go there now. But you're right, the people are very friendly. It's been nearly 30 years now, but I remember it as if it was yesterday, an amazing travel experience! I remember on that Nile cruise, the crew invited us for tea on the bridge. It was so cool :) Anyway, looking forward very much to the rest of this series, it sure is bringing back many pleasant memories! I can share some pictures from then if you'd like, just let me know.

@@RozyPerryVEVO Although Egypt sits in the north of the African continent it is considered by many to be a Middle Eastern country, partly because the main spoken language there is Egyptian Arabic, the main religion is Islam and it is a member of the Arab League

Why do people write "is it safe to go to Egypt" like wth why wouldn't it be safe what do you mean by this it's like any country this is actually really annoying
