A couple of things, the security was probably more visible because at the time they were preparing for the OIC summit and had foreign ministers from all over the world flying in. Secondly, a lot of stuff is produced here, from top brands like zara, nike etc, the export leftovers flood the market and you actually got the real thing for a Pakistani price. Enjoy !

The "high end" counterfeit shops are usually the real item. Pakistan produces a lot of the products for nike and Adidas and their factories are all over Pakistan. They make extra of the items in the factory and sell them to local shops, so you might actually have the real thing 😁

Hi Harry Islamabad is a planned city so much disciplined and divided into sectors.Like the Government offices diplomatic enclaves residential areas etc.Mac makes me laugh when he says Shukriya Yaar 😆 and the way you guys bargain.Btw Pakistan does produce for Nike Zahra and some other brands.Its a textile producer so the garments or the value added product.The apple juice is frothy because its freshly made.Its not that the clear one you get in UK.Love your greetings locals with Assallam o alaikum Yaar.Stay healthy as we wait for your vlogs daily.

In any case, Nike clothing mostly is made in South or South East Asia, so if you buy an item made in a good legit factory which make for international brands too, you would get a good quality item. Such factories in Pakistan have fair price factory outlets as well outside their production units.

Very nice vlog of Islamabad. I was in Islamabad in August 2020, visited faisal mosque for the 3rd time in my life. 1991, 2001 and 2020. You must go to Monal restaurant. It's located on the mountain and you can see entire Islamabad, because the restaurant is about 3000 foot above ground. Also go to bahria town, you will never like to come back from there. 18:35 You are in the VVIP area of Islamabad which is all residential. This is the reason the guard asked you where you are going. The problem is that unless you speak English you are all Pashtuns in the eyes of the locals, and if you are a guy without a ride in vvip residential area, looking in all directions, it causes attention and suspicion for the guards. Clearly they can see that you don't belong in that area. Every single street of 20 to 25 houses has two guards, they know all residents by face. Many of the houses have their own armed guards in addition to the household help of atleast 2 or 3.

Islamabad is one of the most expensive and luxurious cities of Pakistan it's really hard to live there unless You're a part of the armed forces on a higher scale generally or if you have a high paying government job it's a nice place but Karachi is though noisy polutted you still get the benefits of cheap stuff literally in Karachi you can get every single thing you imagine for extra cheap

Visit kohsar market in the evening. Its just 1 block away from where you had the breakfast. Kohsar market is also called "Gora market(white market". Because its the favorite spot of foreigners and Pakistani politicians to hang out. A bit expensive, but really vibrant place. Or if you like the nature, visit Hiking Trail 5. Its beautiful.
