First Impressions Of JAIPUR, India 🇮🇳

We explored a little bit more of Jaipur today.
We begin in the Pink City and find out why it was painted pink.
We managed to find some of the best food spots in town, we actually think Rajasthan has the best food in India!
Jaipur is so far our favourite city in India; why? We love the way that anything goes here, and it feels a little more relaxed than the other places we have visited!
The lights for Diwali festival have taken over Jaipur and it looks incredible!

I lived in India for 3 years, like 5 years ago. And also got to travel around a little bit to different parts of the country. It is so cheap to travel around as a foreigner, there is so much to see so much to experience. I would love to go back some time. Oh, but this video reminded me of the absolute chaotic traffic and the noise on the roads! I don't miss that part a lot, almost gave me a migraine just getting through this video lol.

@@Alan_and_Shannon I lived in Hyderabad, one of the metropolitan cities. It has nice historical sights to see if you are interested in that sort of thing. One of the best places I visited in India is Kashmir. But if it is early next year, it will be cold and snowy in Kashmir, and the Dal Lake maybe even frozen.

The traffic is chaotic - I am Indian who has lived in the west since more than 60 years, I find it crazy. If you are a pedestrian it is difficult to cross the road. This traffic chaos is all over India. When I visit India I dread crossing roads! Don’t let the Tuk Tuk drivers scam you! Enjoy your trip. You guys take care, and be safe!!

One big problem in India is high population density, India has a population density of 390 people per square km. Cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai and Kolkata have population density of 15,000 people per square km, the old areas in these cities have population density of around 40,000 people per square km. No wonder you see so much chaos, honking and traffic in these areas. Even if the British looted India, they could have done 2 things: 1) Pushed Universal healthcare and education 2) Outlawed polygamy in 1860s. Then by 1940s Indian families would have been having 3 kids only and India would have been a much better nation today. India outlawed polygamy in 1956 and by 1970s it was a food surplus nation. However the 5 wives and 6 kids from each wife survived and India's population exploded. In 1990s Indians started having less than 2 kids but by then the population had crossed 1 billion.
