First Impressions of my new £820 Rimowa cabin suitcase

In this video I give my first impressions of the Rimowa Cabin suitecase, after taking it on 1 trip abroad. This is my first ever piece of Rimowa luggage too so found out all the good/bad points straight away.

Rimova has a great customer service. I took my ten year old Rimova to the shop because a wheel was broken and they replaced it free of charge.

Nice video, Rimowa is a German brand and w in german pronounced like v in English so basically it sounds like RIMOVA :)

But in ENGLISH we say “Rimowa”. Nobody says “Volksvaagen” when they “Volkswagen”. 😂

Exactly. The W is pronounced as a V, So it’s RimoVa Unfortunately Louis Vuitton MH have now bought the brand and the prices have soared

@@davidkelly3883 they say PorschE and Rimowa is pronounced RimoVa, it’s a German brand originally and it has always been called RimoVa.

@@smxlad LVMH bought them but I think they r still the same quality and so has anything luxury from watches , bags, TUMI , etc….I think the biggest thing is that you can’t get them at discount anymore. I got my salsa 26 for 30 off a few years back at a independent luggage store . I went to Saks to get a carry on and no discount there. Same factories , i wish hey kept that add a bag feature though.

Disappointing about that scratch on the handle . That’s seems terrible considering the cost of this case ?

A few months in there are lots of scratches now, most of the time from putting in the overhead cabin. I just think its because of the aluminium outer casing, scratches will happen I guess.

@@KingsdownRoots They do scratch easy. But that's intentional; designed to show a story of your journeys. It's comparable to a pair of worn down leather boots or a pair of selvedge denim jeans.
