Nice video. Brings back beautiful memories of my first visit to Nepal and Pokhara in 1982!!! Back then the bus trip from Kathmandu also took 8 hours; I've made that trip so many times since then. Some things don't change, like the bumpy roads 🙂 But Pokhara has certainly changed since 1982. I was last there in 2017 for 3 months; It was my 8th visit to Nepal and I'm planning to return again in September and stay for 3 months. In your video at 2:48, the hotel and guest house sign board: in the centre you will see GIRI GUEST HOUSE. A friend and I were fortunate to be able to finance the Giri family to buy the land and build this guest house back in 1984. At that time there were large empty fields all around that area and few guest houses and most just had one floor with maybe only 5 or 6 rooms. Giri Guest House is still surviving today (apart from Covid) and still owned by the Giri family and I still keep in touch with them. There are so many beautiful places around Pokhara away from the touristy Lakeside area. Subha yatra Nepalma. Happy travels in Nepal.🙏
