⤈ WHO WE ARE ⤈
We are Philly and Keely and we live full time in our tiny home on wheels Martha. After building our DIY home in a Citroen Relay camper we spent a year living on the streets of London before quitting our jobs only to be met with lockdown. Then we took our van further than she had ever been before to the very beautiful Turkey. Enroute we stopped off in Spain for a few weeks where we experienced every van lifers worst nightmare, we were robbed and they stole all valuables in our van. But now we are back on our feet, fully MOT’d and back on the road through Europe before we experienced another vanlife nightmare... our van caught fire! After the trauma of that we had a massive change of plan and have now made our way to Japan. We enjoyed a three month Japanese Adventure and are now back in Martha ready for some more European Adventures.

Glencoe is spectacular, Skyfall Valley (Etive Valley), Clachaig Inn, Nevis Valley and Harry Potter (Steall) Water Falls ... great jump into the Lower Falls in Glen Nevis. Hey you two, looks magical over there, oh and if you get bit by midges and they irritate you, carry a little container of white vinegar around with you and as soon as you feel the itch, spray or wipe white vinegar on the spot and it should nutruelise the acid and stop you scratching yourself silly and driving you insane ❤

There is so much to see and we still haven’t seen all of Scotland yet! The Isle of Skye is definitely magical! The Fairy Pools are beautiful. On the NC00 Smoo Caves & Ullapool is worth a visit. There are many beautiful castles nestled alongside the many Lochs. The list is endless. Take your time and enjoy the journey. 😊

I stay half an hour from you. At the Galloway Forest Park there is also a Red Deer Range and you can see the most amazing deer and there is goats further along too. If you are still in the area you should visit the SW coast some places to visit are Portpatrick, Sandhead, Ardwell, Mull of Galloway at Drummore is Scotland’s most southerly point. All of these places you can wild camp. Some places have signs up saying no overnight parking but nobody will bother you at all. Looking forward to see where you go next week. I’m from Stranraer xx

Great to see you back on the road. If you’re going up to Assynt don’t miss the Drumbeg scenic road, Achmelvich beach and the Summer Isles. When you’re on the Drumbeg scenic road stop off at Assynt Aromas - their tea garden is a haven in the wilderness - and they do the best hot chocolate. I’d go up the west side through Ullapool to Durness and round by Loch Eriboll. The scenery is stunning but remember to fill up when you see a petrol station. Enjoy

End of summer is not the best time for dark skies in Scotland. The nights start noticeably drawing in at the end of August but even then it's still daylight after 10pm in SW Scotland. Dawn starts about 2am in the middle of summer.

@@phillyandkeely the Drovers Inn at Loch Lomond will let you park up for free if you eat or drink at the pub, it’s the most haunted hotel in Scotland. Glencoe is gorgeous and there’s a free park up close to the Clachaig Inn. Always live music on there and loads of beers to try. Then across at Aviemore there’s the reindeer at cairngorm mountain resort, good park up there too. The reindeer just wander free. Our van broke down up there at new year, runaway engine. Had to get a new engine, finally back on the road again after four months of the van in the garage.

Two of my favourites, Scotland and you guys! ❤️ I'm so looking forward to the videos to come. I have many highlights and all are too many to name. But high on my list of wonders in Scotland are Mull, Iona, Harris, Lewis, Skye & Orkney. I like to hunt the standing circles and there are so many in Scotland. Calanais is just awesome but I also love hunting a giant single stone and chatting to locals! Mull offers a great coast, wonderful wildlife such as the white tailed eagles (sea) and I highly recommend Fidden Farm for the best sunset whilst camping at the waters edge, super for swimming and paddle boarding! The beaches on Harris are to die for! Neist Point on Skye is just amazing, I saw and heard the minke whales here and one puffin. Quiraing... Staffin... so so much on Skye! Plocktonnis idyllic and a boat trip is cool here. I love the waterfalls inland and the East coast is also amazing. And not forgetting Glasgow and Edinburgh! They are so different and both worth a visit. I could just keep going! ❤️❤️❤️

@@phillyandkeely I combined standing stones and stone circle in my excitement of writing the comment lol. These sites are ancient and often older than Stonehenge... I have a few favourites now in Scotland. I'm Welsh and spent most of 2022 in Scotland and I'm heading back up again this week. ❤️🦄🗝🌕 Happy Full Moon, its a great one to manifest in this energy. Keep smiling 😊🙏🏼🕯🌞🌕🗝

Oh wow, great video guys, love the cooking bits, so funny. I'm so excited to see you exploring Scotland, I've been many times, and can't wait to see you exploring places I recognize! There's so many great places, the NC500 does a good job of guiding you to most of them (I toured Scotland before the NC500 was invented!), but also detour off onto other roads and dont feel you need to do all of the NC500. Fort William is a great place to stock up with food and diesel and also a beautiful location - you can even climb Ben Nevis on foot if you want to taste some more metal, and visit the Harry Potter bridge!! I'd also recommend Apple Cross (but Martha might not like going up the pass, so take the coast road instead), and Lochinver for delicious pies. But honestly it's all good you can't go wrong. The West Coast is definitely the best so don't rush it. Random other suggestion is Talmine - as I used to stay there, it's really remote and wild on the Atlantic coast.

Looking forward to seeing more of beautiful Scotland and hopefully you won't have too many midge attacks. Those muffins look so delish. Have you ever used peanut powder? It's good in a cup of hot chocolate or you can make a fruit dip with it mixed with cocoa and honey. Glad to hear Martha got her worn out parts replaced and she's as good as new(knock on wood). I'm on the road too, in Colorado, where I will meet up with a friend for a week. Hope you two get to see some beautiful wildflowers which is what we'll be looking for.
