"Perfumer Phillippe Romano (Inter Parfums) has created a new men's fragrance, First Instinct, for American apparel brand Abercrombie & Fitch that will launch in 2016.
First Instinct perfumer, Phillippe Romano, said: “I wanted to create a modern fragrance that balances both the fresh elements of fougère with oriental warmth. All the notes together, create a scent with worldwide appeal for the Abercrombie & Fitch man and beyond.” First Instinct, an oriental fougère, is intended for “the confident man who is not afraid to express his feelings.”
op notes include an aromatic gin & tonic accord combined with Kiwano melon.
Middle notes offer spicy Szechuan pepper, airy violet leaves and tangy citrus.
The basenotes are comprised of sueded musk with raw amber.
The clear glass bottle with silver-grey juice has the appearance of undulating water. A silver plate displaying the brand and fragrance names adorns the side of the bottle which is completed by a striated silver cap"

Great take on this one bhai. I get vibes of CH men, CK Reveal and huge similarity with playboy New York. one of my friend told that if I'm wearing New York or not. Thats crazy. Good for casual wearing and school on a very hot day. It projects when it is in heat but doesn't last much.

i smelt it once at Sephora to see the hype... but im not blown away by it..not a big fan of the scent as you say it is leaning towards younger demographic..its just my personal thought.. waiting for another good release this year..

This somehow reminds me a bit of ysl lhomme ultime. I pick up on the invictus too but I hate to admit it because I’m not a fan of the invictus line; this one is nicer in cooler weather in my opinion because of the sweetness and slight spiciness

Great review! I'm looking for a vacation resort/cook out/summer party kind of scent. I would love to see a review comparing summer party scents for 20s-30s age range. Have you got your nose on Tommy Bahama's St. Barts? Any other scents in that category?

A very low cost casual scent that has a boozy vibe that I like is Playboy VIP, but I haven't worn that in the high heat. Have you tried that one? Not sure how that would perform outdoors in the sun

My collection is still in its infancy, but stuff I own that I could see myself wearing to summer parties are chrome legend, nautica voyage, perry ellis 360 red, aqua di gio, ed hardy love and luck, and blvgari aqua amora. I know they range greatly but wanted your take on these summer scents or what other scents might be worth trying for the cookout scene. Thanks man!
