she is just a fantastic human being. i’m not sure exactly why she agreed to be on this show, but i’m very glad we got a chance to hear her in long form and to witness her vulnerability and internal struggle. there is a hard spiritual climb between being a victim of narcissism and power structures and taking your power back, not to beat them or to ‘win’ but to return to your spirit’s purpose and to LOVE. it is to also realize they never actually ‘win’ because of who they’ve allowed themselves to be. nothing false can end well. “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”

what an eye opening interview. i recall hearing the “paper planes” song as a kid but i had no idea who she was or anything about all of this. it’s so tragic and she is so beautiful and genuine. the hardest part about listening to this interview is the reality that history is once again repeating itself. thank u for such an incredible interview and i pray her and her son are protected and blessed & more people are open to listening to stories like this and perhaps we could have a chance to shift before it’s too late.

@@JacobTimothyM lol I guess education has failed you. There is a lot of discrepancies in this tale. No. You are not related to that very vague and geopolitical neologism non-existent place that is called 'middle east'. First thing you need to know is that 'middle east' corresponds to the levant and the Arabian peninsula. The cities of Uruk and Suse ARE NOT even located there. The languages of the Elamites and Sumerians are not even Semitic. So MIA and you, and Tamil "nationalists" should change your narratives and concentrate on your South Asian rich heritage instead of attaching yourselves to places and people you know nothing about. She's the post-2000 RATM. After she came out I noticed artists like Beyonce, Nelly Furtado etc copying a LOT of her style & mode of expression. She's right she didn't truly need a deal. They definitely galvanized her organic popularity. If she just hung in there into the smart-phone age she would have still went big. Maybe even bigger. . It's disrespectful to be looking at your phone, not giving verbal or physical cues to the person you're having a conversation with that you're listening. Clearly he wasn't.
