Yes, Garcelle! It’s easy to say “take the high road” when you’ve never been in that exact situation. Being betrayed in that manner is traumatizing. i never understand why people bring up “what about the kids” like garcelle said is it the truth? so why should u have to hide tht. also the “what if they get made fun of ” line is tired. trust me if someone wants to pick on a kid they will find anything to laugh at them about literally ANYTHING we see it daily

I'm with Garcelle! And they come to the show giving examples of bad relationships. The people that are cheated on get tired of protecting the cheaters image. And then the cheater gets to spin the narrative how they want.
@ThePltsweet2 жыл бұрын
Garcelle, you are absolutely right. Also Loni, i agree. I keep saying the same thing. You NEVER KNOW what those lying cheating scoundrels tell the other woman. Men LIE. So whether she's disrespectful or not, it's upto the no good husband to put the side woman in her place (that is for those who stay in these tragic marriages).
@BrandyD17772 жыл бұрын
Amen Garcelle, Loni......Who is suppose to be loyal to you? Whether woman/man knew of you (different if friends or family) it is not her/him that owes you loyalty, it is the person you lay with, confide in, trust, made promises to/with, etc.

I wouldn’t necessarily let my dirty laundry out in the public unless absolutely necessary. However, I completely understand why people do it. The pain, the hurt and the disrespect is too huge to take the high road all the time. So, I am glad that people spoke out because it teaches all of us a valuable lesson. People learn and grow most after humiliation. If you choose to keep it private, good for you and if you want to make it public, I won’t judge you as well. Everybody handle things differently.

That's why we shouldn't act out until we've cooled off and let out some steam. The things we can do in the moment when we feel so hurt and betrayed is insane.

Adrienne’s constant weird defense of men was me when I was in the most abusive relationship with the seemingly ‘kindest man’ on earth in the ‘happiest marriage’ so it’s a huge 🚩 for me. I hope she’s okay.

10+ yrs ago at my Grandmother’s church the pastor embezzlements money to fund his mistresses. Expensive trips gifts flying the women out to places it was a mess. Not sure if charges were pressed but if not they should have been cause it’s stealing.

Garcelle and Jeannie are both parents and both know what it’s like to be cheated on by a spouse. They could identify with the woman. Adrienne and Loni have not walked that road. They are giving from a theoretical standpoint, Garcelle and Jeannie are talking from experience.

I absolutely agree with Garcelle and I am so proud and happy that she said it. Women can't always take the high road for situations that men create. We are human, we feel and can't always be the "responsible" one for situations and pain we didn't create.

I sent a family member a very strong email after I gave myself a week to calm down over a really serious situation with that person. It rocked my entire family and I was called “ignorant” and “disrespectful” for the years to come, but it was the ONE way that I was finally able to hold this person accountable, because they would have been supported endlessly by people that did NOT know the other side of that person (because love makes us turn the other cheek sometimes). Now, everyone has finally settled and some even understand why I wrote my email and that it was to stand UP for myself instead of allowing this person to continue their life as if their hands were clean. It helped everyone learn, and unfortunately some people don’t learn until they are wholly embarrassed. It’s not the best way to teach, like this will smith situation, but it’s a teacher nonetheless. I personally haven’t been disrespected by this person since, and that’s that on that.

Garcelle is such a perfect addition to this show that it makes it even more of a disappointment that this show is ending this season. Love this particular group. I think they have the best dynamic of all the panels of the show’s entirety. But I will especially miss listening to Garcelle’s and Loni’s take on topics.

Why is it that people always act like women have to take on the burden of fault. Not only for herself, but for a significant other, children, friends and or other family members. You can be the best gf/wife and still have a cheating husband. Be the best mother and still have bad kids. We as women are not responsible for the actions of other grown-ass individuals.

She needed to do that video because if she didn't she would've been silenced and this would've been hidden under the rug. He deserved to be aired out on video. To answer Jeannie, the establishment clause basically. Theres a reason it is so hard for scientology to be charged with all the crimes the commit. Unless people in the church try to do something, and even then theres usually nothing that can be done. The same way they protect child harmers.

Tell them Miss Garcelle! You wouldn't know what you'd do until you find yourself in that situation. And this is why men will keep disrespecting us. They know most women would be too embarrassed about being cheated on to blast them.

I dont know why I should be made to feel embarrassed when I didnt do anything? I never understood that. Hes the one that stepped out on his family, broke s commitment he vowed to uphold and keep, agreed to be monogamous when he doesn’t have that ability. Like how tf is it not embarrassing for him? I like Garcelle's honesty - she is the most realistic and dosn't always say the most kumbaya answer. Jeannie has gotten there after her divorce - she realises that the world is not all flowers and rainbows -she's become more real. Adrienne has grown a lot but still needs to work on empathy and understanding that people don't always act perfectly or should be expected to act perfectly.
