Those water filled rollers are a pain.Use your cylinder mower after the lawn has had a good soak via rain or irrigation to help flatten her out champ.

Good stuff mate, I’ve honestly done about 5 or 6 cuts. About 3 weeks ago I dumped some fertiliser on after over sowing and we had some nice warm days and then we’ve had 4 days of rain just after I got a cut in 👍🏻 and honestly I’d say it’s ready another cut! Leaving it a bit long at the moment 50mm while it grows and fills out the bare patches, then might drop down to 40mm. But it looks happy at 50mm. 🤙🏻🤙🏻 see I wrote I nice comment, don’t send the boys round with round up will ya 😂

The Green and Gold Life no good mate at all. I’m thinking about making an aerator out of a 44 to drag behind the husqvarna ride on. I thought I could fill it with water to add the weight for whatever deep I want 👍🏻 I’ll let you know how it goes.

Good luck with your channel. I'm writing from Texas to learn more about Kikuyu. We consider it an invasive weed, so how do you keep it from taking over your flower beds?
@thegreenandgoldlife14644 жыл бұрын
Gday mate. Wow wee the Lone star state. Your 100% correct kik can be considered an environmental pest. My Kik is a steryle dwarf variets so the seeds will not germinate. I also have grass edging to a depth of 150mm or 6inches to stoo the rhysomes and stolons from spreading. That seems to be working well. I have another vid on what is kikuyu, might be worth a look? Cheers

i have kikuyu as well its one year ago since its laid :) , i follow the lawn porn program and my kikuyu looks amazing. Im about to get it renovated (scalped, air rated, top dress and fert)....I was wondering do you need to oversow kikuyu? and in winter im thinking of oversowing with another seed just for winter so it stays green is this possible? Cheers, love the channel :)
@thegreenandgoldlife14644 жыл бұрын
Aye BigPapa cheers mate. No you don't need to overseed kik. Kikuyu spreads through rhysome and stolon growth. Post Reno it will repair its self and spring out the ground. Just keep the water up for a few weeks. You can keep kikuyu green over winter by early morning waterings of 5min to knock the frost off or consider applying a frost protection such as Carbon trader from Amgro or Envy from agrobest. You can overseed with a cool season variety if you like. You would need to scalp the kik down and plant in mid Autumn. Hope this helps
