I personally love the method of story telling where theirs narration from the characters to further dive into the characters and cleverly lore dump. It’s a smart way to sneak past technological limitations and it eventually just became its style even when the technology got better

playing the first game also helps put into perspective what a cool game this is. Kain completely fucks the world up and over, and getting revenge on him for doing that is a great continuation of the story. the massive implications of what happens in the first game being show in the second game really made this feel like a impactful story. can't say the same for the rest of the series.

I’ve always looked at this game through rose tinted glasses, having only reached the second boss when I was young, and playing it again shattered them, my god the puzzles in this game can be pretty asinine and every boss is a puzzle. I still like it because the atmosphere in this game is on point but I really hope they switched it up in soul reaver 2.

After so many years of nothing, its unbelievable to see Legacy Of Kain getting love again. 🥲Hopefully it does well enough to where we can see the series continue. Or at least have an epilogue (as it kinda just 'ended on a cliffhanger with Defiance ). Even though It never really had the best gameplay...man does It legitimately have one of the greatest stories ever conceived in videogaming. 🖤
