100% a reflection song on the power drugs have over you and how the battle of addiction ruins a family. Glad he survived and is doing all the things he would have missed out on. IMO a great way to end the album and if he wanted to, his career. It’s a lesson of reflection we need to do in order to heal from the choices we made in life. 🙏

I also think he runs out of material n does the same shit over again.. he tried to branch out n be different n not say shit for shock value with revival n nobody liked it.. I just feel like at his age he could be actually saying something not trying to shock people

He’s basically saying after he overdosed he wasn’t supposed to survive but lucky he got sent to the hospital in time but he’s also saying slim (his bad boy, crazy, drug head etc side) is no more, he died that day for him girls / daughters

Y'all listen to the album all the way through It's Eminem killing slim shady, but if you listen to it from the last song, all the way to the first song is slim shady killing Eminem that last song is about what he would have missed because he overdosed back then love the video The couple stay motivated Dream big 1 mill on the way Eminem is making a part 2 of the death of slim shady

The thing what people also forgot is He's sober for many years but that's from the alcohol. The sad songs to his childeren is about the drugs/opiotes/painkillers and what not. DejaVu is where he rapped about mixing his alcohol addiction with the drug addiction wich went horrible wrong. He went sober from the alcohol but to my understanding still till this day ain't clean from the drug addiction wich is still his problem saying it won't be long meaning they (drug abuse) gonna kill me sooner then you think

This is from the perspective if he over dosed and died in 2008. You also have to rememeber the reason why the tone of the album changed after Guilty Conscience is because remember he supposedly "killed" Slim Shady. The rest of the album is what 51 year old Eminem would want to talk about in songs, not Slim Shady. Sorry to say guys but this album might be the last album Eminem will make. He might be a feature on songs but as a full album i personally dont think hes making more. Why would he make the songs Temporary and Somebody Save Me if this wasnt his last album, at least for a long time. But yea this song is from the perspective of if he died in 2008 and all the things he would have missed. Its actually a beautiful sad song

I think this was from the point of view of Slim Shady if he didn't stop doing drugs after the overdose, he had in real life that made him become sober. It is from an alternate reality that Slim Shady is trapped in and missed out on everything he mentions. This song is cryptic as hell, but I personally liked it. It did give me a weird feeling after I heard it because in my head, I visioned him in a coffin on a rainy day being lowered into the ground and still alive in his coffin. Great reaction to the whole album guys it was an experience of emotions 😅

Agree. Great song, but it feels so out of place. If i didn't know any better i would've guessed it was an unreleased track from Recovery. Its so strange we have this Eminem vs Shady theme going then ends with a Recovery type song. I either would've scrapped it Or found a more fitting topic. Like i dunno talk about how Shady keeps giving him all these fucked up thoughts that he doesn't want anymore somebody save him from them? I dunno. Or if he wanted Jelly Roll then just work out collab that id more fitting with the Theme of The Death Of Slim Shady. That sound sounds very Recovery.

TBH i'm the same, i notice some weird uncomfortable feelings in the songs "Temporary" and "Somebody Save Me" i thought the same as you Carol.... I really REALLY hope!!! That it's just letter from him to his daughters WHEN he's gone... Just that, Please Marshall, don't make me think other stupid things....
