Ive never thought about photography clothing, I use Tenson weather proof/wind/rainproof and breathable jacket. Cost alot but you get alot. So much better then these bomber jacks teens got these days.

Interesting. Im really interested in this water repelling tech for painting my outdoor stuff. But this is interesting in using it on clothing. I definitely need more education on that because I am sort of familiar with gortex, but not very familiar with nano repelling stuff. To me its still feels like a cancer potential chemical-like thing that I don't want to touch. So I wonder about all the testing that has been done with animals/humans to see if this tech really is safe. Most recently I wanted to use this to protect a fence from being gratified on. I almost purchased a big bucket of repelling paint, but then I got confused by so many options and application types. definitely the public needs to know about this, its good tech just needs to prove its safe so it can become used and less expensive. I love a nice jacket. I'm the kind of guy who gets one jacket and just uses the same over and over until it has holes. So interesting jackets Lok.

Same old blind you with science bullshit. I've had two very expensive GoreTex jackets and a pair of Gore Tex trousers that supposedly let your body breathe. Also a cycling jacket. All supposed to be breathable, all of them failed. I tried the Nikwax, the coats were never as water repellant as when I bought them. Also water/sweat gets into the taped seams and they come unstuck. Fabric layers delaminate too. If you really want to stay dry, look for a jacket that uses material that physically can't be penetrated and also has vents e.g. A waxed jacket. My waxed leather boots don't let any water in, even when walking through a stream. All this crap about breathability is just marketing hype, and license to charge stupid money.

Its breathable because it doesn't use a hydro static head like the gore tex stuff you used. Its breathable. Paramo jackets are different technology.
