Love Fontana. Backpacked around, fish camped on the forest side and park side, with dog, alone, and some friends, got caught illegally camping once, and caught a 24 inch smallmouth in eagle creek. Many a good fish dinner from those waters. Smokies my favorite place. Welcome back home.

My dog Lily is on otter alert too on Shawnigan lake. She also guards the wharf from blue herons. We have a spare dock the otters like to poop on and lily thinks its the best perfume ever. She was so happy to see Iko happy to see you. Cool about the gelatinous blob. We have them in our lake.

oh gosh! 😆 the otters here seem to keep an eye on who frequents their house and who is hardly ever there, they poop on everyone’s docks who don’t come often but never poop on ours thankfully. That’s great, must be a pretty clean lake! 🙌

She hasn’t! She has never tried, we have actually tried to get her to and she just absolutely won’t 😂 she’ll only swim in a zero-entry scenario like the boat ramp or off the bank, where she can slowly walk in, but she’ll never jump off anything. Doesn’t want to get her face wet I think 🥲

Leaves are on the ground in west Tennessee too, but they are not turning on the trees yet, here, nor appear to be there either. If people can't afford, or don't for whatever reason update their floats and plumbing, what will TVA do?

They are definitely turning here on the trees! As though it were mid october, it’s crazy. TVA is supposed to kick homeowners off the lake if they do not keep their homes up to the basic environmental standards set forth years ago. Folks have been given decades of a grace period to meet those standards. 2031 is cutoff for floatation, 2029 for greywater. Septic of course is already current.
