the scattershot has a limited range. So I thing, that's fine. I am worried about the skeleton bomb and tucking. About that harpoon you can carry around: as long as it takes a weapon slot, I think it could be fine...we'll have to see!

Skeletons being able to find tuckers is not a concern for me because majority of tucking takes advantage of player ignorance so more experienced players more than likely would find tuckers anyway.

A lot of less experienced players know about tucking as a concept and will run around swinging at their barrels or blundering the crow's nest trying to find you, but just don't know all of the spots. I hope that they at least make these player spawned skeletons unaware of you while in a hide emote.

A cool idea for the bonecaller could be that maybe you'd get unique skellies related to the trading company you're an emmisary for: Gold Hoarders=Gold Skellies, Order of Souls=Shadow Skellies, Merchants=Plant Skellies, Reapers=Bonecaller Immunity?, No Emmisary=Reg Skellies

I think the wind tool can be part of the tactic on how solo sloop players can take bigger crews. Just take the wind horn a row boat and a few gunpowder kegs and you have yourself a speedy suicide bomb.

I think the harpoon gun is balanced pretty well given it takes a weapon slot and isn't really a weapon. So sure they can board you easier, but doing so they will just have 1 gun or a sword. Gonna be a lot of fun can't wait to return to the game

I feel like the grapple gun should be more like the trident; like it's just a broken harpoon you can find or get from destroying a harpoon rowboat. That way boarders would have to be careful about how they use it, as dying would leave the grapple on the boarded boat.

100% agree this would be a good way to fix it. Takes away the whole overkill of 4 people constantly back to back deckshotting onto your ship unless they go destroy 12 or more rowboats first. Even as a solo sloop I didn't mind boarders but that doesn't mean they need to constantly respawn on top of the deck without a load screen because they have a spider man gun.

Idk i feel this would make it worse then better. As if it replaces one of your weapons you board with only have 1 offensive weapon at your disposal. But if its a trident like weapon all anyone needs to do is get close enough to your ship and harpoon over to blunder snipe you. Their teammates aswell could be shooting at you with their snipers aswell before heading over themselves.

Skeletons granade is literally two side blade. Its can be used by bigger crews to bully solos, but also can help solo players escape chase when used right. Imagine you get close to chased ship, but suddenly frink bonebang spawn on your ship and target escape during org......i mean chaos 💀💀🤬💀💀🌊🌊🤣

I think adding more challenges to solos will make them smarter and deadlier than a lot of full crews. A solo sloops crew has its strength in its cunning But yeah against competent crews you’ll probably still sink. you take your wins where you can get them

Oh yeah I didn't even think about that, letting people plop them on their own ship basically gives them a Automatic Tuck Checker. To be fair, I never tuck, so this doesn't bother me for me, but it does affect a lot of content I watch... so that is actually a bit of a bummer. I was asking myself why I was watching a 4th streamer's reaction, and this is why. Thanks for clearing that up, nobody else had said that. I believe them too on hit reg. But it's still dog water and gonna be dog water. I play the game despite it's many flaws, not because I don't realize there's a problem. Sword/Knife for me, are you kidding me? I don't need no guns and I know many a pirate who feel the same.

Me and my mates left this game because of how punishing the boarding is for us casuals and how unrewarding is the treasure carrying simulator. 1 sweat lord is enough to grief you and ruin your evening adventure and they are making this easy for them to board. Why?? Boarding should be a challenge since you basically win if you board non sweaty crew. I really liked the atmosphere and sandbox feeling of this game, why can't it be more pirating and less sweating/griefing? Naval battles are epic but it's overshadowed by boarding meta.

now i think we should wait for it to see how it plays, but i dont like that they are lowering the skill ceiling again, larger crews will always have an advantage, i dont want to deal with pve in pvp battles, i like grappling hooks but not in this game now you dont need to aim to do a deckshot or even get close to the ladders, lowering the skill ceiling even more, and runners are going to stack the air horn thing and use it till their fingertips bleed, cuz im sure you get those by pveing and im not doing that
