The interrupting as the guy was explaining things was annoying... Good to see Rad getting some coverage though. Always seemed like an awesome company.

I don’t have anything against Rad, but I’ve always thought of Rad as the bike for people who aren’t bike people and who aren’t going to ride hard and ride often. I think that’s why they have been so successful, tapping into and opening up the bike market to people who otherwise weren’t into biking.

I’d say you’re exactly right! They’re definitely making bikes for folks who use them for transportation, not recreation

My wife is one of those people. She's very taken with Rad models. Just a shame they stopped their European sales of them before we got to buy one!

So only half twist throttle? No thumb option?
@99spokes5 ай бұрын
Correct, just twist grip throttle on the new bikes

It would be lovely if they had proper customer service that answers emails and if parts were available.

Sounds like that’s a big area they’re looking to improve on going forward 👌

Super beefy frames. I just strapped a CYC X1 Pro gen4 to my RR6+ and now it goes to like 65mph.

The Rad models look much more impressive in real situations, as opposed to covered in video. It's a shame Rad no longer sells its bikes in Europe and the UK.

It's amazing how even large established companies and employees at those companies don't understand e-bike classes. Class 3 isn't supposed to even have a throttle. Not that I support the e-bike classes.
@99spokes6 ай бұрын
We asked about that! Essentially they said that most commuters looking for class 3 speed also appreciate the throttle, and seeing as there’s basically no places where class 3 is allowed and class 2 isn’t it made sense to make a hybrid between them. Makes sense to us 🤷♂️

Rad is finished in Europe. Poor quality and poor customer service. Not to mention that parts are expensive to buy when they go wrong and it is almost impossible to get something of the shelf. You have to buy the parts only from Rad otherwise it just won't work. Well, my experience over the last 3 years.
@stevensmith40996 ай бұрын
My experience is different but I'm guessing you're paying quite a premium to get one over in Europe when you already have so many great domestic options.
@latinokid336 ай бұрын
@@stevensmith4099 true. Lots of options here. But i take exception when the prices for spare parts are way over priced. 30 euros for a replacement. Come on.

@@stevensmith4099Which options do we have in Europe that match the Rad product? Just a question because we were going to buy a RR6 eqch until they closed down operations over here. Now we don't know what product to turn to. Hoping you can advise...
