Please do not add skills or talents that say "a small chance". You should state the exact chance. It's fine if you don't know what the value will be right now, but you shouldn't force everyone to guess what those values are.

I agree & disagree. I agree that it should not be vague, but ONLY when the game is using numbers on skills/talents/abilities. Though this works PERFECTLY fine when the descriptions are on the skills/talents/abilities with numbers. (Ie Terraria, others)

I don't know if it does or not - but the blazing talent should burn off one stack at a time for the listed duration. Not just drop off entirely if no kills are made for that duration. Reasoning: If you're in a high adrenaline situation, it doesn't just drop out of your system instantly either. And by making it drop off more slowly you create a more sustainable loop as opposed to jerking up and down between higher speed after killing a POI and possibly falling back if you take too long hitting the next POI

Two ideas for the stacking abilities: - Stronghold - As you kill more mobs, your defense (either armor, or resistance?) increases. Or, it gives you absorption hearts. - Pillage - As you kill more mobs, your item quantity (or rarity) increases

@@Run2Seeun I mean I feel like things being super powerful with lots of skill points and gear investment/reliance isn't a problem, and mana is already there as a limiter to stop CDR from completely breaking the game. If somebody puts in the work to get high mana/regen, high CDR, a talent that lets them reduce their cooldowns further, AND abilities to use those talents on, if that build isn't busted, that's a bad thing for the game. Super powerful builds aren't bad if they take a lot of effort to get

Another Stacking idea: momentum, where the longer you are running the higher your speed up to a set cap which increases per level, where the speed immediately resets on stopping or upon landing a melee hit, and it applies a damage multiplier on the first hit based on the speed, or an aoe is added to the stopping hit alternatively.

The problem is that this basically just gives you passive speed again unless it's incredibly underpowered. You'd basically need to set like a 10% cap that takes a while to reach just to make sure it doesn't have the same problem as normal passive speed

I would like to suggest an specialisation for dash: It gets charges that can be used in quick succession, but with each of them gives you the equivalent of level 1 dash in movement. Using all charges would cost more mana than a single use of the basic version, and the time to recover all the charges could also be a bit higher than the recharge for the normal dash.

Think about it with a 600 second cool down which is 10 mins, every 10% cool down reduction is a minutes worth, so for someone who is running a build with about 80% reduction, the cooldown will be 2 minutes

That has the same problem as the current talents, people would just damage themselves down to x% health after killing all the mobs in a room and just looting. The way the game is currently balanced makes getting low on health difficult unless you're being overwhelmed by mobs and about to die. It wouldn't give a risk/reward dynamic, it would just be boring

Defiantly throw a piece of redstone or a block of redstone into that iron generator recipe so it makes it more telling of power cause a blast furnace surrounded by chromatic iron just makes me think im making a better blast furnace not a generator And for that skill that makes hunter trigger on a kill of a mob, we didnt see it trigger here so idk if it does or not but it shouldnt ACTUALLY trigger the ability because if I have both the talent and the skill and I go kill something i dont want to wait 600s for its cooldown and if it does actually trigger the ability make it a shorter cooldown. I 100% wouldnt want it to activate it off me killing something than need it after the cooldown is up when i go to hit a god alter for living chests. those are my only things, GREAT WORK iskall.

I haven't played much VH but idea for the speed masterie. Instead of a constant speed boost, maybe give the player a choice, so a short non-stackable speed boost after looting a chest maybe 5-10 seconds, or a short speed boost after killing a mob. This way speed boost isn't a constant but with good movement, tools and a good room it could feel nearly constant. And in some cases to maintain a speed boost, you have to waste time breaking a chest you maybe don't care for which does help balance it out. So sure they will have a higher loot total, but they will be taking loot they don't necessarily want/need. And the mob based version, isn't necessarily for sprinting around and looting effeciently but more so for kiting mobs/getting away, which is great for squishy builds.

I think it would be better if you had the speed stacks at maximum of 10 for all levels but the duration and quality of the stacks should increase each level. I think you should be rewarded for specifically choosing Hunter gear thus 8 rooms doesn’t seem bad I also think that we should be able to see the % chance of things to trigger so we can decide whether or not to take a point in a talent or skill

Idea to make the Treasure Seeker and Bountiful Harvest talents not boring : instead of being a passive above a health threshold, have them be a stackable effect that procs when you take damage. This encourages having health and losing it (then most likely healing it back) to increase your odds. Because POIs often have mobs, it makes it worthwhile to engage in combat as any damage you receive makes the looting better. It rewards dangerous playstyles where you are constantly trying to lose health on purpose and potentially risking death. I think the effect should last longer than with the other stackable talents however, since these would not be used during combat but instead after, so they should last at least a few seconds even on low levels so you get a chance to use the thing. Unless you want looting during combat to be a thing, there might be some potential there though it'll likely feel frustrating/counterintuitive to players.

The purist talent reminds me of the recent ARPG No Rest For the Wicked. Their rarities aren't based around like 'common is worse than rare is worse than epic is worse than legendary,' their rarities are: common is fully customizable, rare is a bit stronger but slightly less customizable, epic always has a super strong positive and also a negative effect (cursed item), and legendary are items that don't just have random stats, they're like the unique items you've mentioned for VH where they're designed by the devs

What about a talent called 'Lucky Arrows' there would be a % chance killing a mob with a ranged weapon would drop extra loot, depending on how many levels spec into the talent will depend on the loot quality type. What about a talent called 'Time Dilation' gives a small chance to stop the vault timer for a moment when killing mobs. But only works on last hit kill so mob kills from fall damage and status effects doesn't work. 1% chance to stop vault time for 5 seconds 2% chance to stop vault time for 10 seconds 3% chance to stop vault time for 5 seconds 4% chance to stop vault time for 10 seconds.

Oh wow okay lots of change. I'm neutral to sad about the speed changes (wanna go fast!!!), but really pleased about Prime Amplification! I'm admittedly a little nervous, but trusting the process on the change to Hunter, and while I definitely agree with other commenters and would like to see a specific chance for Hunters Instinct listed, I really like the addition. It also very slightly buffs theme augments bc of slime type mobs and varying numbers of horde mobs (more mobs more chances at the trigger). I am LOVING the changes to masteries! Literally clapped my actual irl hands about it. Incredible change. Never used the masteries before, now I DEFINITELY will try and find points for it. Also very excited about the ice bolt. I used a chilling build for a minute there during my Impossible Arcade run and was YEARNING for a way to chill them from a distance. But HOLY PROCESSOR RECIPE CHANGE BATMAN?!?!?! Best thing in the update.

I never took hunter, so this change will incentivise me to grab it earlier than lategame, the decrese in speed is a change i like personally, since now speed% boits are a chase item for speed builds even more, i like the stackable skills and the mob masteries. I like the storage mod changes as well, and the iron generator change is very pog.

Watched the VOD on twitch, and just wanted to suggest if you go down the route of making the Implode it's own separate tier, you could make one of those skills to use up all of your absorption hearts to deal damage, similar to mana with Implode and your suggestion of hearts. It would give just one more purpose for absorption hearts that you were discussing with the heal skill

It may be slightly broken, but you could technically make Discipline give a percentage mana cost reduction on all spells/abilities. Not sure how it would be inplemented, and might be busted, but it's a thing to consider.

An idea for two other talents could be a stacking talent for armor or resistance or maybe thorns? Another idea I thought would be cool would be a stacking one for regen but the duration would be short and the cooldown could start at like 5 minutes or so and lowers just a little with each tick in the talent

It should be possible to give attack buffs (limited time stacks) to chest treasures rarities. All without attaching it to a weapon/skill/talent. This would have to be coded at the base level and be a 'world' ability & not a 'character' centered ability. Probably changes game objectives too much, though with items having adjustable skills/talents with would be purely optional or gameplay style changing if the player decided to Rush a vault. Balances the Risk VS Reward equation.

i like the change to speed and hunter. personally i find when you have speed 4 you go a little to fast. Speed also ate up a lot of you skill points and with only having a certain amount getting 8 back is great. The change to hunter is nice i feel like the cooldown is a little to long especially if your unlucky and don't get treasure goggles. But, will test out with how much cooldown reduction helps with that. I'm really excited for vault hunters 15 and can't wait to see new builds come from the new skills/talents.

Couldnt you add a sort of mastery system where you get points every 10 levels that you can freely add and remove and they would give you the passive buffs for inside vaults, being unbreaking, speed, haste, reach etc. Basically giving you a passive skill tree and make that the main and possibly only way to get them. Then leave talents for the more interesting build stuff.

I feel like the passive vs stacking speed still needs some number tweaking. Passive speed at max level costs 8 skill points for a 40% speed boost. Stacking speed at max level costs 8 skill points for an up to 20% speed boost that you have to do something to keep that buff active . I understand you can purchase both, but to me it feels bad that for the same price, stacking speed is both harder to keep up and less of a benefit for doing so. Also is it possible to get more clarity on how these stacks work in terms of decaying? Because how they do (or more specifically how easy they are to keep) affects the balance too

The mob killing effects should have their own group and be limited in how many points you can put in total, similarly to Masteries and Javelin Enhancements. That would allow for you to specialize which you pick without the worry of having to take them all for it to be good. It'd be too difficult to balance otherwise.

I think Purist will make more sense as unique helmet rather then a talent....Poor crown, Jester crown...Just this unique property, no stats....or make it that it would have different dependencies....for example more Quant for empty gear slot, damage for scrappy, rarity for common, healing efficiency for empty red trinket, mana regen for empty blue trinket.

I agree that speed is boring, but I don't agree that blazing is an adequate replacement even though I don't think its bad. The thing is that I dislike the speed in combat for a long time until I get used to the pov change and just that it messes with my positioning, so I suffer through the speed in combat in order to be able to get from fun thing to fun thing faster and cut down on travel time. Blazing keeps the bad part of speed and enhances it, and cuts out most of the good part. To underline my point, this change cuts down on my ability to greed a vault since it is much harder to explore without speed. But I trust the process. :)

A thing to avoid burnout, especially on Hermitcraft and making videos... just PLAY the game, have some general goals but dont set time frames persay, if a project doesnt get done in "this weeks episode" who cares? Let it take multiple episodes to casually get it done when you feel like it. Go play and have fun with your friends as thats the whole point if a multiplayer server especially one made up of friends. Ive run into this issue with the server i play on with some friends. No one is around or when they are they are doing their own thing so theres no interactions. Basically playing solo while playing with friends which is boring. But i have found that just goofing off and not "progressing my useless builds" or redstone contraptions is far more fun. Idk either way id love to see your videos again, not a huge fan of the "small stream" BTS vods.

Speed telent is OP atm, but also balances out bad RNG with objectives like scavenger and monoliths, where u can find the correct chests (becuase they just arent spawning) or just trying to find the monoliths. Also helps balance finding dungeons as the RNG behind then make it like 1 in 6 vualts at least for me, and even then half the time i cant use them becuase im either out of time or the vault objectives make them not useful and just a waste of time

I still wish there was a bit of a tree component to the skills. Where you have to invest into a specific area to access other advanced combos. BUT. I will accept whatever you feel is right for your game. I'm only here to play it. You are the one making it. Better not let me down. lol JK.
