The guns are real guns but the halo above their heads acts as a type of body armor and allows them to take reduced damage from weapons. However, if they take too much damage they can die. If you straight up destroy their halo, they will instantly die.

Seeing how in anime canon halo disappears when student sleep, i now wonder if body armor vanishes as well during sleep?

@@Minecrayey There are several ways to break a halo. One is from a powerful force like gravity or a really strong bomb. Another is a rapid assault on the body with gunfire. Last one I can think of depriving the student of basic necessities to live such as food, water, oxygen, and heat to stay warm. Some halos are harder to crack than others. Neru threw herself off a skyscraper, Tsurugi got hit by a train at high speeds, Hina got hit by a missile, and Hoshino got blasted by a super heated death ray.

for non BA player, Abydos school use Egypt as background reference so yeah it have desert theme 😂, there also another school with specific region as reference so ... better wait for it

Accurate, since Shiroko is refered as Anubis, Serika is Bastet, Hoshino is Horus and Nonomi is Nephthys. The school is placed in desert, celebrate Sand Festival and the Abydos logo featured a sun on it.

What makes your reaction really interesting is that you don't know much about Blue Archive. I would say that about 80% to 90% of people who will watch this anime played the game. So as someone who does play the game and know the story, it is interesting to see if you are able to pick up the plot of BA. And so far, you did pick up a lot. The only thing I say the anime missed is that Sensei isn't bullet proof.

It’s a pretty good and faithful anime so far. They mostly removed the prologue from the anime, but they could bring it in a different episode. Other than that, I have some faith that it’ll keep being faithful.

@@redex3933 I think they mean how the sensei was introduced to Kivotos by Rin and meet Yuuka, Hasumi, Chinatsu and Suzumi and reclaimed SHALE, but yeah there was a bit of the introduction of the story and they could do it on the 2ep

It's faithful overall I see minute changes, but it doesn't take much from it, if at all I love that they managed to include the conversation in the train, and mention tutorial content with sideline info. Hecc, all the "daily life" stuff that was shown to us before sensei showed up to their school is technically extra content whilst fitting in setups for things that will be brought up later much earlier.... Damn, is this what it's like when you have a manga you like adapted into an anime? 😂 I'm just wondering if they plan to have more seasons, or if they're actually (unrealistically) going to adapt all the way to Vol. F since there was.. as you said, the "alter" being set up at the beginning. Though they could also end it like how Houseki no Kuni did by making viewers curious to check out the source material itself :v

Haha! Dude, I was just as lost when I first started playing the game. It starts making sense as you go if you just accept that the goal is to help these students figure out their debt situation for now. But even then, a lot about the world remains a mystery, even for people who are up to date on the story. There are a lot of theories and stuff, but it seems they're trying to keep the mysteries of the world in their pocket until the very end of the story. My half theory (only half because I'm not committed to it): This world is a type of purgatory or dimension between dimensions, hence the inclusion of all manner of beings, like angels, demons, beast folk, elves, etc. It's not heaven, hell, or earth, but exists while those things also exist.

Still my theory: The people with halos here are all the main characters of the world, while the other residents are either just residents native to it, or foreign to it and just happened upon it by chance. Although I don't think the halo residents are native to it, I think the world exists FOR them for some reason. Like, they need to accomplish some THING before they can go back/to paradise. I might be thinking too hard about it. Maybe the creator of the story just said, "it's heaven for cute girls you want to root for," and that's it. Either way, sensei isn't native to it and was summoned by the president who has fallen out of space time, likely while attempting to accomplish that THING that needs to happen so the world doesn't decend from a purgatory straight to a hell. Bah! Anywho, aside from the wonky translation and how hard it is to find the episodes, I think you'll end up liking at least parts of the show.

Yeah lol I was like dang it seems like a lot is going on in this world, but I dig that, I like a story that sets up a world with unexplained or mysterious things, makes theories, etc. all the more fun to discuss

I watched it via Animenosub, but Animeflix.live is also pretty solid. Really sucks that it's not licensed on any (legal) streaming sites which is surprising considering how popular of a gacha game it is smh
