How is wind delt with? Do you input the wind speed from your hand held wind unit and enter it into the scope for hold off?
@ericb.43588 ай бұрын
The scope reads out the wind hold FOR 5 MPH WIND AT THE DISTANCE YOU RANGED. If there is more wind AT YOUR POSITION you add a horizontal hold in the Xmas tree reticle for that added amount of wind. Best thing is to practice in the wind. I'm getting a KESTREL weather meter for wind readings.

@@ericb.4358 OK got it thanks. One day they will make a scope with a built in wind meter spinning away on top!

@@jamesfairmind2247 James, I think any future "on board" wind sensor will be tied to the laser or have a separate laser. That's the current direction of wind sensing tech. I will bet the Eliminator 6 will be ruled "unfair" for PRS competitions, just as the use of a KESTREL Elite 5000 wether meter/ballistic engine is now.

@@ericb.4358 Wow interesting re the laser . Re PRS frankly it is only fair that it should be banned. Great for everything else though.

How could you improve the Eliminator 6? ->-> Make the ENTIRE Xmas tree so you can have an illuminated red dot for windage SELECTED FROM A BLUETOOTHED wind impeller, as on a KESTREL. Then make the the RANGING dot green. (This is also great for lower light, cloudy day and dark background shooting conditions.0 Making the ELIMINATOR "6.5" accept wind values is the "ultimate firing solution" which this scope then considers that everything else but Coriolis Effect, which is only necessary for distances over 900 yards which is not within ethical big game shooting distances.

It would be neat to have a 1 - 8X Eliminator 6 LPVO, for which I'm sure there would be a large market. Keep the necessary 34 mm tube but shorten it due to the shorter optics path of the lower powered 8X magnification. A 34 mm objective lens would be great for low light and, as aluminum frame bike makers know, larger diameter tubes are stronger, given the same wall thickness, so a 34 mm LPVO tube would be stronger than a 24 LPVO.

I hated my Burris Eliminator 6. Cause I can't find out my ammo "Hornady precision Hunter ELD-X 7mm PRC" from CARTRIDGE list. Disappointed ! Waste my money!

Yeah, I just bought one, and it doesn't have my ammo also...suck! Sir, are you supposed to sith your 100 yards first before you put all your information in the burris app. Needed help. Thanks

You can enter it yourself. The info should be listed on the box of ammo.
