I actually love how this car looks, even though they haven't really changed the design much from the 458. And for the car being soft and curvy around the edges, i like that too, because mostly every car that comes out now can slice boulders. Love the soft, beefy look.

I was never a Ferrari man.. except for the F40 and 360. And to me, this car is the updated modern version of the 360. I know its based on the 458 but I think it looks sooo similar to the 360. A beautiful Ferrari. Very very nice car

The 458 wasnt a beautiful car imo, its shape was exotic, show off and it stood out in a crowd, but not by being beautiful, just exotic . I'm just upset Ferrari is calling this a new car. It seems like a new version of the 458. first the italia, then special, then the GTB but as the same car. like, the 458 italia was completely different from the 430. the 488 GTB, not so much.

Well the 430 was sort of just an update to the 360 in the same manner that the 488 is to the 458. It seems that Ferrari redesigns models in pairs with a refresh in between.

Exoticars19 yes MrZephyr97 is correct. Ferrari comes out with mid-cycle updates. the 430 is an updated version of the 360. They are very similar in design when you look at all the details. The 488 is very similar to the 458. The next model they come out with in 5 years will be very different from the 488.

Not sold on the looks yet. To me it seems more like an evolution of the 458 than a new design. The interior looks practically the same. The 458 was a leap forward compared to the 430 to me. But it did have this big surface when you looked at it from the side which the new vents on the 488 seem to brake.

On the car, I think it looks terrific except for one part that I cannot enjoy; and that's the rear wheel intakes. The two intakes just look so awkward, especially because of that upward sloping line from the door. None of it fits with the rest of the execution. But front and back are just gorgeous!

The 488 looks rather old-school when compared to the McLaren 720S now. I don't know how much longer can Ferrari stick with the aluminium spaceframe structure as the McLaren carbon mono-cell is clearly superior (stiffer and lighter especially in spyder form) and will get even better in the future.

Lookswise I am surprised to see myself typing that McLaren have this beaten (in the 650S). We'll have to see about the performance of course...but the Ferrari never give out cars to test without a whole team and many sets of tyres to make sure its totally perfect for that track test. You can't really get an honest review out of Ferrari, so they say.

I prefer the 458, especially the Speciale, over this. The 488 isn't bad but I don't really care for the front end. As for comparing it to the McLaren 675LT, I prefer the McLaren. But I prefer the 458 over the McLaren. They are all very nice, it's just that the 458 is nicer IMO.
